I totally agree about the AC thing, but i can tell you that the culture of using AC is growing fast. Many new buildings are already being built with split air conditioning installed. Besides public places like malls and restaurants, public transportation such as trains and the metro also have AC, especially during heat waves. I think the culture is changing. I don't care what people say, AC is effective. It's been very hot in Spain too, but today it feels much better in Madrid because it has been raining quite a lot . It will get better this weekend in France too
