is Rihanna done DONE?

Featured Replies

after her superbowl performance, lack of interest on making new music , disappointing her fans for more than 7 years, being pregnant again , showing literally no emotion on her performance (shot out to the Asl girl for being a better performer) even if she comes back next year or the next 3 years can we say she is done musically?

For now, yes. But I can one day, years from now, when Rihanna is in her 40s, and she’s feeling legitimately inspired to make

music again, dropping an amazing album

Y'all realy need to stop making your wishes as news and facts :skull:

No? Even if the performance was a total disaster people would still forget about in a month. She kinda hurt her comeback hype though because of LMU and her not debuting a new single after the SB

At this point, it's all on her. The GP and her stans have been nothing but supportive despite the lack of content and enthusiasm from her for several years. If her career is done, it won't be because of lack of GP interest, but because she herself wants to stop.

We’ve long since hit the iceberg. It’s time for the remaining Navy to decide whether they want to head for the life rafts or go down with the ship

This reminds me of how bad certain fans of other divas were when Anti only sold 439 copies it's first day.

:bibliahh:

Rihanna hasn't had an album in 6 years, yet she is more consistent in the top tep of Spotify than any other diva. Over is not a word she understands. She has literally built two "billion dollar" companies.

Rihanna is the "Apple"  of the music industry. No matter how many mistakes people will always come back for more Rihanna music.

Nah I think she will keep outsreaming your musically active (with multiple efforts) faves even if she won't release for the next 3 years.

She owes us nothing. So if she does grace us with another album, it’ll be a blessing. But no one is entitled to new Rihanna music.

When/If she comes back, it’ll be worth the wait.

i think she is. not for the public, but for herself

i don't think she's interested in the music industry at all anymore, at least not for now. i do see her making a big comeback maybe 5 or 6 years from now, when her kids are a little bit older

i also think the more people beg for an album, the less she wants to do it. just leave her alone and let her miss making music for herself

Honestly. The fact this site is only only place I’ve seen a negative reaction towards the performance

:dies:

Beyond delusional if you think that performance would ruin her career :lmao:

Admittedly the performance was bad but no, I've realized I still love her music as much as I did when I was a teenager. :jonny5: Where Have You Been is legendary

The obsession with forcing her into the "pop girl" box and saying she's "done" because her priorities have changed :skull: she's still one of the biggest artists of all time, even if she takes another 7 years off music

I remember this site vividly when We Found Love debuted at #16 on Billboard, or when Anti beginning was a mess, or when Work was played for the first time and the ATRL girlies with their doom predictions.

ATRL keeps underestimating this woman, and she gets back stronger everytime with her 10 week #1s or most acclaimed album of her career to being a business mogul.

Never change ATRL :toofunny3:

She's done, it's her choice, but at the same time she doesn't owe anything to us.

No y'all are just overdramatic cause you don't know how to handle the fact that a grown woman may wish to put her music career on pause for a few years to start a family :rip: Not every pop girl is going to be purely existing to give you bops non-stop for her entire life, y'all can wait a few years, you'll be fine :skull:

Good sis gave birth a year ago while not making music in 6 years.

Only if she wants to be, but an Oscar nominated track and a Halftime Show isn’t a bad thing to do during a hiatus.

Rihanna at 34 has already done anything one can ever dream of, career wise.

Shes been hustling since shes 16. She came from a tiny island with a population way smaller than the smallest US State, making her chances to even be heard one of a billion. And she made it in the biggest way possible.

If she wants to dedicate the rest of her life to her family now, it makes so much sense. HOWEVER, I don’t understand the point of performing at the Super Bowl career wise. The harder I think about the the less answers I can think of.

Its clear now that she didn't do it to re-launch her music career, yet the negative effect it can have on her business isn’t worth the risk.

It could have been a personal decision, a personal challenge or a favor for Jay Z, at the end of the day as happy as I was to see her again, I ended up feeling bittersweet.

Yes and she'll continue to top the charts at the same time :dies: Not everybody has that
