It's a good song and see why it's sucessful, it's GP friendly, great lyrics and melody and ex shade, but i dont really see it standing the test of time and being iconic say 10 years from now, we'll have to wait and see I guess

No, it's fairly rated by the GP. Her 2018-2020 singles were just underrated, mostly by american audiences.

 

Her "mini Mark Ronson era" gave us some of her greatest songs like Nothing Breaks Like a Heart and The Most, so it's a good thing it feels like a natural progression from that sound.

All of this is why it’s smashing. It’s completely safe which is what her new label wanted but this is Miley we are talking about I’m sure we will get a single about BEEP soon!

Definitely not her best and I'm wondering where the GP was at during Plastic Hearts but it's nice to see her smashing after so many years of stans calling her a has-been/Disney fad despite her talent.

I disagree heavily, I said it on the first listen and in ATRL thread, this is her best song she ever released and she released so many good songs.

This song is masterpiece. If you hear 'undeveloped' you dont hear art and power this song represents. Shes incredibly good singer. She doesnt need

complex production. Her voice and even more importantly, her thoughts/her emotions/her voice shines through the whole record and its getting recognition it deserves.

 

This is hers 'Someone like you'.

yes it's mediocre and stale but considering dance monkey is the highest streamed female song of all time, it's no surprise that it's smashing.
