What a mess  SM is now owned by Hybe so I guess we are back to Big3 again  and the fact that both JYP and YG have connection with Hybe (YG with the business partnership and JYP being Bang PD's best buddie) I won't be surprise if they gonna fall under hybe too lol I don't like how kpop is becoming. I was lowkey surprised Enhypen ranked higher than TXT because I thought TXT are bigger than Enhypen.

 

Those coming for Treasure are flops have to eat their word because while they're flop in Korea digital (as for most 4th gen bgs even for SKZ) but they're big internationally especially in SEA.

 

So tldr 4th gen bg popularity according from the survey:

 

Stray Kids >>>>>> Enhypen > TXT >>> Treasure 

Also this is not a good new for MBC, since they are still beefing with Hybe . 

since some people here are confused - hybe doesn't own sm now. they own the most shares in sm but not the company itself. it's a public company and therefore can't be owned by one person or one corporation.

I'm not even dragging Red Velvet because obviously both them and NCT are not the cause for SM's downfall. But the irony of a Red Velvet fan to call NCT the downfall of SM when both groups basically fall into the same career trajectory is funny. Neither group managed to be the #1 boy/girl group of their generation, neither of them are consistent with their success, neither of them managed to eclipse their predecessors etc. And all of that is okay because they're still extremely profitable for SM, but to put ALL the blame of a whole company onto one group is stupid and just a reflection of the delusions of this site and their hatred of boy groups.

An ALBUM

I didn't realise WayV's new mini album sold 130k less than their previous one. The 40% decline. 

 

SM is a stupid company cause literally nobody wants these regional NCT units, everyone just wants Dream, 127, and the occasional NCT U comeback. I just know NCT Tokyo will bomb as well. I hope after that they just STOP with the new units and start focusing on solos and sub units (of the sub units).

 

The fact SM promoted Sungchan in Korea hard for all of 2021 only to debut him in JAPAN.

 

Honestly, I don't see the new SM boy group or girl group doing well either, but maybe they have some hidden weapons. HYBE really saved the industry, huh?

We got that. But by being the largest shareholder plus alliance with LSM they'll have major control over the company, so it's pretty much the same thing.
