It should be noted though that BLACKPINK is beyond K-pop at this point. I know K-pop is a genre but its also a market and BLACKPINK has broken out of that sphere since KTL. NewJennies have a lot to prove and I sure hope HYBE gives them all the resources to be as big if not bigger than BTS and give K-pop an actual western SMASH so that YG finally trembles in their boots.

obviously, these are my same thoughts. they deserve to be #1 gg even with the 4th gen girlies here but its really not possible when HYBE aka BTS' label is handling newjeans and lsrfm (while bts is on hiatus)

 

BP can't just keep the top spot doing the bare minimum like they always do in the past 7 years. it worked for 7 years, sure its still working now to some degree but its losing its power with newjennies coming to snatch and dominate not just bp's records but also bts'. no one is safe nn

I really like Eunchae's tone. It's quite unique.

im so afraid for them bc this comeback gotta be a hit one or else i fear sm will put them aside and start focusing on the new gg/treat them more like a side project cause newjeans and ive are way ahead of them in the competition and if they fail this time they might give up on tryin to make them big again

i respect that. but eunchae and sakura's voices are so girly and annoying, its very TWICE-like and that's why I can't stand 90% of their songs except Nayeonce and Jihyo 

Eunchae is very young, if she keeps working on her vocals she will get better, there is a lot of potential. Same goes for Kazuha 

as for Sakura, I really love her tone so I’m satisfied with her voice, although she’s very hardworking and she even said in the documentary that she’s aware of the criticism regarding her vocals 

does the bridge in Cookie also have dog barks?

This is not SM's problem, it never was. Most of their acts don't even have yearly comebacks.

SM's problem has been brewing for years and it is LSM not wanting to step down as a creative director despite share holders doing everything to get him out.
