It was nonsense. They were offended because sacrifice of Chinese people were not mentioned in RM's speech. Why would a South Korean mention sacrifice of a country that fought against them? Then marketing accounts blew it up and BTS threads got closed everywhere (even sales thread I used to visit was removed) and part of Chinese ARMYs moves to Twitter.
