For me It's obvious It needs to be reported and not that SM is faking sales or something.

Nope they’re  not reporting fake sales lol, The list you are mentioning is IFPI’s Global Albums Sales : it ranks the year’s biggest albums based on the number of units sold across all physical formats, including paid full album downloads. That’s why the #1 is Jay Chou.

as i have said on a post in the previous page, they were meant to debut as a 17-member group, hence the name. however for unknown reasons, 4 of them didn't make it including Samuel from Produce 101. they stuck with the name Seventeen despite being 13 only. the 13+3+1 explanation is really just for marketing reasons tbh. they need something to back up the name.

it wasn't to honor them but yeah, some members left during training

their original lineup was supposed to have 17 members but I don't think they ever had that many, their biggest lineup had 16 members I think
