I was not impressed with the song tbh. It was not love at first listening, as it was with Midnight Sky. 

She looks absolutely amazing, though, and I can't wait for the album! She has big shoes to fill after Plastic Hearts!

Miley lost huge sections of her fanbase after Dead Petz and Younger Now, Plastic Hearts gave her new casual fans and the goodwill of many pop music listeners. It wasn't a massive era numbers-wise, but it clearly gave her career a new wind. Not to mention PH's chart-run on Billboard doesn't translate to its actual performance, considering that she lost all of Prisoner's SPS because Dua included it on her deluxe reissue.

Not surprised Dua Lipa chart trickery and villainous schemes are at the root of this. Thankfully, Miley is (once again) relying on her own star power to carry herself.

If the radio deal and streams are big enough to hold, Columbia could pull the same efforts others do to compete for #1. But debuting top 10 is already a solid start, so it’s really whatever.

Miley is just like Shakira, Britney, etc. It doesnt matter if she flops, she will always be THE Miley Cyrus and will eventually do well again because she just has that STAR. I'm so happy for her

For the "I wish Midnight Sky was the one getting all this attention!" crowd, if you stream Flowers hard enough, it'll help american locals to rediscover Plastic Hearts and stan it. It's a win-win situation for Miss Destiny Hope.

People don’t really recognise it about her but she doesn’t have anything to prove at this point. She was selling out ARENAS and causing ticket frenzies at 15. She’s been doing it for almost 17 years now.
