It's always been amazing to me how people (and Selena herself) doubt her abilities as a musician. You don't spend your whole life in the music industry and not know your way around a great pop song and this album is more proof of her prowess and versatility

It's not an album of hits or singles, I don't think anyone expects these style of songs to be smashing over half a year after release. If Taylor wanted to make an album of smash hit singles, she could (and she has done before), but she's doing something better than that.

I guess we'll find out in a couple hours. Either way, it's not looking good. I wonder if she should have just dropped the album pre-orders with the lead single and pushed hard for a few weeks trying to keep up momentum. There's no feeling of momentum with her that it feels like there is with Jade. Even Leigh's singles seemed to be building to something before that fizzled out.
