Midnights

the Swifties finally realize they can no longer defend Taylor's tragic lack of ability to write actual melodies

It was certainly traumatic for you and your fellow oth, seeing as you guys have been losing your minds and practically tearing up your hair all over the forum for more than a month now all cause you can't cope

ANTi, Changes, and R9 will follow the same path I see

Solar Power

Witness

ARTPOP

Other flop eras aren't really traumatic because no one cared ab about them.

Y'all just wanna post your fave in any thread about anything

She Is Miley Cyrus :rip:

the way Miley dropped She Is Coming, promised a trilogy of EPS, did absolutely no promotion, switched her focus to Black Mirror, got divorced, underwent vocal surgery & disappeared for months all while the music is being leaked online

At least it resulted in her best album :cm:

She does kinda talk a lot instead of sing and it all sounds so samey from album to album.

Anyways the American life era made me dislike Madonna fans. I felt like the only real Madonna fan for a while. I was being fed perfectly by M tho

Nicki coping with no longer being the it rap girl was a sight to behold :gaycat7:

The Elusive Chanteuse.

Mariah's accident during the filming of a video for a remix that never came out, the album delay, You're Mine (Eternal) with its tragic accompanying video as the "comeback" single to re-launch the era, the tragic photoshopped covers, the You Don't Know What to Do release with no music video...

The album was worth the wait but the era was frustrating :chick3:

So you agree, you are traumatized?

The beginning of ANTi

Aaliyah era: Sis was coming off of the biggest hit of her career only for the lead single to completely tank, she was too busy shooting for QOTD and the matrix to promote her song+First album in 5 years, she was blocked by Alicia keys who's album had been out for months, and then she tragically passes away right when they were going to release more singles and do more promo. :lakitu:

That's certainly not a reason to be traumatized over an entire era, don't you think? I personally don't love her "melodies" where she's only "talking", but it's not like the entire album is like that. There's plenty to enjoy too and I'm sure most fans are enjoying. Now, the era might be very traumatizing for those who cannot stand seeing Taylor being commercially successful (this website is full of those, idk if you are one of them cuz I don't keep track on you). That's undeniable.

OT: Lover.

Yeah uh I think the artist DYING in the middle of the era beats anything else in this thread by far :deadvision:

Damita Jo. I have so much respect for Janet and how she got through the media firestorm and political attack. The conservatives and Les Moonves really tried to ruin her.

joyride was… the lowest for everyone involved i think. the way the actual era lasted like 3 months? serving get it out the ******* door after the years of mess

I blame RCA for it all. After 2 On, they had NO CLUE of what they were doing.

An example of the mess. Basically certain fans in certain cities would go on secret missions to find clues about the upcoming Rihanna era (we didn't even know it was to be called Anti) and it was just strange and weird I don't think I ever saw something like that before or after. Rih's team and Samsung tried to have a cryptic fan experience but it just turned out to be confusing. The worst part is that the Antidiary visuals were some of the best Rihanna has ever made but they didn't even go to the era, and what's more a single like Love On The Brain didn't even get a visual. The beginnings of the Anti era were just shaky and frustrating. From those cryptic missions to the droplets to the album leak that brought the infamous 460.

As successful as this album is, this was the most frustrating era, ever.

ARTPOP :rip: from the slayage of BTW to then checking the iTunes charts every 5 minutes because I was so paranoid that Applause would leave the top 20. Also with DWUW struggling to reach the top 30 on Australian iTunes for MONTHS :rip: I still wake up screaming from dreaming…

The roll out was not good once the album released. But the tour and Swine Fest are highlights in her career.

Really wish they would have held off on that video and dropped the album the week of the BET Awards!

This takes the cake, honestly. It was so sad and avoidable.

The only traumatic aspect of the Midnights era is people like you. :dies: Otherwise it’s been great for us.
