How often do you use shampoo?

Featured Replies

I used to shampoo my hair every day in high school, I felt greasy just by stepping inside one of those classrooms :biblio:

But then I saw one YouTube video exposing shampoo and I only use it twice a month since. I still can't go without it bc I regularly go to the beach and in winter to the pool.

My hair has regained the soft curls from when I was a kid and its much more alive. It also doesn't smell bad, but it doesn't smell like peaches or mint either, its just neutral and I find it more attractive for a male. My hair feels stronger and its looks better.

I thought it was going to be another hoax just like the no deodorant but it actually works.

every other day, not washing your hair for a week or a month is kinda gross

Every time I shower unless I’m just hopping in to rinse off

I was my hair twice a week with shampoo (I have long hair). I have naturally straight hair, and when I go to the beach I'll just wash them with shampoo before I leave the beach!

I have type 3c/4a hair, so I only wash it once or twice a week

I agree only washing once a month is pushing it, but a lot of people with very tight curly and coily hair only wash once a week because in our hair, the natural oils don’t travel down the hair strand as quickly as people with looser hair textures. Because of this shampooing too often can dry our hair out.

every other day ...

my hair stopped being greasy a couple months into the almost-no-shampoo regime. Its like night and day, I used to get disgusted by looking at my hair when I got home from school, but now its silky and shiny enough but without the oiliness

doesnt it damage your hair? ive tried it it's nice but it doesn't give off that naturally oily/wavy finish if you know what i mean. It's like coarse.

every day. i usually use product in my hair for styling and i need it washed in order for it to cooperate.

I usually use it while its still tamp and kinda tassle it dry and add a tinyy bit of clay or mousse for the course ness

twice a week usually. my hair is curly and can go a while without needing a wash but no-poo strategies are definitely not for me
