Who will stop Taylor's chokehold?

Featured Replies

The girl has spent 210 consecutive days as the most streamed female artist globally since the start of 2022. Even with Beyoncé releasing a new studio album, Taylor is already back as the most streamed woman after only 2 days. Some people speculated that she'd face negative backlash from the private jet controversy and now here she is massively smashing with a 2020 album track gaining traction with the GP :priceless:

Surely this can't go on forever. When will we finally see competition back at the top of the charts for female artists? :priceless:

let's all buy Tinashe music and make this competition happen :jonnycat:

Frankly speaking No one can stop her. After 1989 TV drops its game over for atleast next 5 years

Olivia obviously. There's a reason why the swifties fear her, I fear

aint nobody fearing a faceless one era act :rip:

No one else anytime soon will have a residency at the top like she does, probably for years to come :deadbanana:

In terms of brief dethroning like Bey did, Doja and Ariana will for a time when their next albums come out. Dua, Billie and Olivia likely will too. Lana has skyrocketed on streaming this year too with the TikTok crowd so if she went back to a more commercial sound on her next album she could also. And if the Fenty Furniture CEO decides to give her former career another try, her too.

Rihanna & Arianna are the only one that could potentially take her place at the top female for at least a month (if they released).

Other than that, I don't really see any other female that could do that. Olivia doesn't have a big enough catalogue to do 30M daily consistently. Dua/Doja/Billie could potentially remain at #1 for longer thanks to a bigger catalogue than Olivia's, but I'm not 100% sure they could spend an entire month above Taylor.

Ariana and Rihanna are the only ones who have a genuine shot at dethroning her for a whole quarter but Ariana doesnt care about charts and numbers the way Taylor does + Rihanna is done with being a musician.

So she'll be sitting prettily there for a long time, I do hope her CO2 emissions come back to bite her in the ass tho!

I’m sure a storm will come and destroy her New England coastal home one of these days.

Tea I agree the lack of competition is getting boring hence this thread :giraffe:

Maybe Rihanna or Ariana but none of them are releasing nor care about releasing

I mean she got in a fight with her neighbours over a coastal erosion wall and won, so she's been thinking about protection from climate change for a while

And of course, being the person that she is, she made someone else suffer in the process :deadbanana4:

No one is working as hard as Taylor

released what..4 albums this decade alone (most out of anyone) ((and everyone knows that she is Bound to release more, so the hype stays)

+she is actually doing strategies to sell and promo, unlike some others whose teams don't even know what they are doing

maybe Rihanna tho? since she IS The streaming queen

but in the end, it's most likely gonna be when Taylor stops releasing..

no one huge enough has the passion to work as hard as her. That's why she is actually one of the best selling artists in the last decades too
