i don't think there is a trinity. olivia & billie are the biggest stars of their gen just like christina & britney. tate is probably a mandy moore or sumn

It was definitely more exciting to see stars like Britney and Bey perform but the new gen is just different.

 

Love both olivia and billie, they are more alternative. 
 

Seeing a popstar dance half naked on stage with back up dancers got a bit tired, it seems old now, I think change is good.

I have no clue who that girl is. 

Pop icons never come in trinities, they come in duos

Tate isn’t touching the other girls in terms of success or music

Olivia Rodrigo was very fun in concert, lol. A lot of the best selling performers don’t dance, mostly men though….

 

but it’s not a necessity to give a good MUSICAL performance

Olivia had a massive debut album but she needs to prove longevity become she can be part of a trinity.

Billie is the only one of the verge of that but even so I'd say it's still too early in her career to label her as an icon of a generation.

Gen Z here. I can't speak for everyone else, but I disagree. Britney is an icon and admires the new girlies like Billie, but saying that Olivia, Billie and Tate have to have Britney performance-level in terms of artistry is weird and not really the move you think it is. I just feel when Millennials who grew up with Xtina and Britney (for example) say this, they are just not aware that artists like Olivia, Billie and Tate are not their target demographic and that's fine. If they sing good, the music is good and if their lyrics are relatable... then I am here for it. The thing is not every artist is interested in professional dancing and do not have to dance to please their audience. 

 

As someone who saw Olivia and Billie live in concert recently, they are good performers and the audience is super engaged and dance with the music (referring to like regular dancing, not choreographed dancing). The amount of people who sang HTE and all of the songs of SOUR on the top of their lungs was great. I don't think we are missing out on anything, we are evolving in terms of representation in the music industry and I think that's beautiful to see.
