Whoa, what an interesting Sunday I've witnessed. I saw the interview on CNN and Haley Stevens is batshit crazy for doing that. I voted last weekend but the polls look promising but I am not gonna get too confident. We really need to show up to the polls on or before Tuesday. Here at home, here are the races I am pretty much super nervous about. If Nithya and Angela both win, we will have a progressive congresswoman (Angela) and a progressive mayor (Nithya). I voted for them both. The establishment and the Republicans are backing Karen Bass to avoid Nithya getting elected. As an Angelino, I voted for Karen Bass back in 2022 simply because Rick Caruso was pretty much a corporate shill and it turns out that 4 years later he's endorsing her to win re-election. I am hopeful for Nithya. I really am. She is going to allow our City Controller to pretty much AUDIT the hell of City Hall (who won by a landslide in his election by the way) and has a transparent plan for the city. Karen Bass has been an awful mayor and dealing another four years with her would a DISASTER for this city.

I ended up pre-ordering the iPhone Duo in Night Sky 512GB because I can Upgrade Anytime with my carrier but it's not going to be shipped around early December, which given the recent issues, I am fine with waiting. I can just get accessories in the meantime and just be prepared when it gets here. I tried the device at the Apple Store and I have to say it did confirm that I like it and it was worth the wait. The nano matte display inside is a cute touch IMO and cool. Definitely, do NOT remove the matte protector. I think it is limited because you can't try which apps are optimized just the Apple apps and demo, which is fine. I haven't been excited for an iPhone since the X back in 2017 and there is hype because people want something new from Apple. However, the device breaking is really concerning, but despite in all of this, it is not going to stop me from reconsidering. Definitely going to be on Apple's radar and my order being backordered is pretty much a blessing in disguise I think. I am seeing a lot of people returning it because it wasn't practical for them (to each of their own) but for me, I find it practical doing two things at once. I can do my therapy session on Zoom without relying on my iPad, for example. It's for folks who love versatility. The app optimization complaints, are valid, but kinda lazy journalism from these tech journalists, considering this situation happened on the iPhone X and a lot of apps didn't get optimized until months later, and yet, they know this. To me, it is an non-issue and I'll live, I just gotta be patient. Side note: I do want to explore a backup phone, maybe when the iPhone 18 (non-Pro Max version ofc) comes out in case of an emergency.

I went to N1 and I thought she was incredible. She looked like she had fun at the show. The issue with people that they are very disconnected on where she is musically in her life and people still think she is the same Miley from the 2010s. I think she has grown and evolved as a person.

What is this organization's end goal here? I do align with their views but I think the organization just wants to play Model UN when this midterm election is serious. Nithya take it home.

The Duo selling out

I just got diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) but I started getting medicated on Lexapro and Wellburtin. I usually feel sad in the fall, but not this year, I guess the Lexapro/Wellburtin is helping.

To me, it just tells me that Angelinos are fed up with her. All these past four years all I've seen but nothing of negative headlines about her. She bankrupted the city and cut a bunch of jobs while increasing police funding in the process. I also think Councilmembers like Jurado, Soto-Martinez y Eunisses are just endorsing her strategically to avoid retaliation not because they genuinely want to endorse her. The only one I see who genuinely endorsed her is Monica Rodriguez and she hates Raman and endorsed Sokoloff instead of Mejia. "The air is not dangerous." is insane thing to say to a predominantly Hispanic neighborhood in the Lineage fire back in June. She failed the city. She neglected the people of the city. I think voting for her at this point is either due to name recognition or being out-of-touch. It is a humiliation ritual. I know her ass was hoping Pratt won to sweep but since Raman won she really doesn't have anything like everytime she dragged Raman, they ended up dragging her lmao.

I live in LA and majority of people are pretty fed up with Bass and the establishment machine she is in (including myself). Our City Controller is progressive and couldn't even audit the programs properly because Bass blocked him from doing so. I literally saw 'Karen Bass FAILED" signs tonight in the city.

I have Spectrum TV but I only got it because they gave me all of the streaming apps which also include Live TV. So yeah, I do miss the feeling of cable.

I'll have to try it at the Apple Store once it is out. I usually wait like a month or two to upgrade since my carrier offers an Upgrade Anytime plan. I feel like I am downgrading because the camera limits and no Face ID is crazy. But the demographic is for those who multitask or want a verastile device like an iPad mini + iPhone into one.

I personally have the Oura Ring 4. It was FSA eligible so I caved and got it. I would say it helps keep track of my sleep and activity. The only con though is that the detection is kinda lapsed but it eventually detects a nap or whatnot.
