I think she will definitely get at least one more big hit from this album

Very impressive how she dodged a sophomore slump after such a long break and "Rumours" fizzling out fast last year

Bling not the music amirite

Lizzo is a niche artist

her music reminds me of similar ATRL reception to Meghan Trainor's discography

she's not for everyone's cup of tea.

2 Be Loved needs a mashup with Perfect Illusion's chorus

:-*

lizzo speciaal is not on metacritic rn and they have even lizzobangers

Went straight to "Naked". This song was incredible on her Amazon show. Will listen to the rest of the album tomorrow.

Yeah that key change on 2 Be Loved is euphoric.
I’ve been waiting for this song for months so I’ve got it on repeat. Lol.

special

omg

max martin seriously enjoyed this

lizzo vocals omg

I don’t particularly listen for good lyrics in an album, but most of these lyrics just stick out as childish and straight out cringey :deadbanana:

Anyways, album is worse than I expected tbh. The Sign, About Damn Time, 2 Be Loved, & Special were the only standouts

Wait a minute didn’t Deuxmoi tease last year that a pop star was gonna return with a song titled Birthday Girl? I wonder if it was supposed to be the original lead over Rumors

Edited by TalkThatRihanna

Pretty good pop album imo.  7.5/10

Highlights: About Damn Time, 2 Be Loved, Everybody's Gay, Coldplay, Special and Naked.

Y'all sleeping on Birthday Girl. Whole bop! Too bad my birthday was already in June, this would've gotten so many streams from me on my bday :'(

Great:

About Damn Time

2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)

Good:

Everybodys Gay

Naked

Birthday Girl

Ok:

I Love You B****

Special
Break Up Twice

No:

The Sign

Grrrls

If You Love Me

Coldplay

Its ok better than I thought

singles should be

1. About Damn Time

2. 2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)

3. Everybody’s Gay

4. Birthday Girl

I can't make it through this album because I'm stuck bopping to 2 be loved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Love You ***** is ******* hilarious. It has to be a parody...

This is extremely Pop. I hope she doesn’t alienate her urban audience. I was very much obsessed with Rumors.
The album is very different from her debut so Im glad we are discovering a new side of her. Overall I enjoyed it A LOT. Definitely very strong and will be listening all weekend.

holy trinity: Everybody’s Gay, Coldplay and If You Love Me.
Sampling Coldplay is pretty much impossible to do correctly but she did it amazingly and this song has the best lyrics on the album :clap3:

The title track starts out very strong but then kinda fizzled out. 2 Be Loved to me is just another attempt to ride the 80s nostalgia wave. Predictable and cheap.

Its a very special record. I utterly enjoyed it. And sure shes not reinventing the wheel but it's super competent and enjoyable from start to finish which cant be said about a lot of other girls' albums.

It's exactly what I was expecting and imo it was worth the wait
