iOS 26 is a hot mess on my 14 pro max. it's a bit slow, the animations are still a bit buggy & laggy. there's been 2-3 times today alone, where i've had issues with imessage being frozen  & completely blacked out.

the glass effect doesn't even look that good. this ios update just gives early beta i'm sorry

It doesn't work most of the times, and when it does it's just a lazy slow/speed distortion. It also cuts like 45 seconds of the following song. They can't be serious. :ahh:

Isn't that what mixing is tho? Speeding or slower track to match the tempo?

Watching some early reviews about iPhone Air and I can tell that the phone is pure gimmick with so many red flags :gaycat7:

Sleep focus is also broken. My wallpaper is gone even though it shows when editing this focus profile. :deadbanana2:

This is such an amateur job what is happeningggggggg. :deadbanana2:

So I got my Air yesterday. Gorgeous as expected, even saw some of the Pros in store and they're high key hideous. :rip: After seeing the colors, I'd probably get a Silver Pro if I had to choose.

Air feels refreshing but it was tweaking harder than Nicki. I know the phone was still indexing, but I've never had a phone crash and stay frozen shortly after setup. I assume it was throttling, but everything is normal since I woke up this morning. I was debating returning for the Pro since I find that actually more comfortable to hold, but it's just too pretty and I want something "new". I have 13 days, so we'll see how this battery holds up. :chick1:

Upgraded to the base 17 model today (blue mist). Coming from the 16 Pro Max. Going to take some time adjusting to having a smaller phone but I love the color so much

If I decide to give the 17 Pro Max a go later on, I'll probably get the deep blue or silver (though I'm not sure how to feel about the white patch area on the back). I'm lowkey hoping apple surprises us with a new color in the spring or something.

This year it feels like people have choice paralysis because all of the models have their pros and cons, the base having the best value. I've seen a lot of previous Pro Max owners "downgrading" to the base and Air.

I have 30 days to return my Air and it's not the speakers, camera, or battery that I would return it for… it's the width and I actually find the Pro more comfortable to hold. But it kills me because this might be my favorite designed iPhone since the 4.

The one year I prefer the base model is the same year they've discontinued the Plus version; and I'm salty about it :deadbanana:. From my understanding, this year's base model is pretty much last year's Pro model, so I know it's not technically the biggest upgrade for me, but the color alone was worth it.

The Air is the one I've paid the least attention to. I think I wrote it off the moment I saw it because the camera plateau was even more unappealing to me than the Pro's, and the overall shape of the phone just seems a little off though I can't quite express why :rip:. So you're returning your phone for sure, or still giving it some time?

I'm giving it some time as I have 30 days. I really love the design, especially the mute Sky Blue color and the plateau is smaller than it seems in renders and has kind of a satisfying curvature to it in my hand.

Right now I'm not really feeling the pains of one camera or speaker, but mainly the slightly worse battery compared to my 16 Pro. The heat is coming from the top of the phone whereas I used to feel it in the middle and my palm... so I guess that's a plus? I did experience some throttling though specifically on FaceTime and trying to switch wallpapers. I'm not sure if iOS 26 is just a buggy ass mess or the phone is struggling. It's hard to make a judgement because I've ran some games and multitasked without a hitch.:rip:

I heard murmurs that 17 air is just manufacturing test for the foldable iPhone next year. Which means there won't be anymore iPhone air, if that's correct. That makes me want to get 17 air just for collection, cos I am getting 17 PM in silver personally.

I have the 16 Pro Max and my carrier has an Upgrade Anytime option. So I am torn on getting the 17 Pro Max. Is there a difference? If there isn't then I'll just stick to my 16 Pro Max for another year. The camera is good tho.

I am in the market for the watch even though I have the first Apple Watch Ultra that I got in 2022 so I might just upgrade to that this year since I go to the gym a lot.

I think the only differences are the new design on the back, the faster processor, and whatever upgrades they made to the cameras.

It'll still be here for a couple years unless it flops. They're not gonna waste all that R&D developing the plateau. There's so much to improve on so there's always room for growth in adopters once it gets its compromises sorted. There will always be 5 tiers: 17e, 17, Air, Pro/Max. Fold being the 6th and the most expensive: $2k-2.5k. If anything I think it'll flop harder than the Air. :rip:

Has anyone bought an iPhone 17 Pro Max 512gb or 1TB? and anyone get a look at the storage before they put stuff on it? I'm tryna figure out if its worth it to spend the $200 extra :gaycat5:I can turn my phone in (iP13 Pro) but im worried they'll say it won't count cause they'll find stuff on it I won't. On top of that, I'm worried they'll make me turn my phone in before I get the new one (Oct 24 :skull: ) so if anyone has had experience on that lemme know.

I would buy an iPhone 17 Plus but Apple stays pissing me off by not offering a Plus, only a stupid Air (which really should be $899 if it's one camera!!!!)

If quality control has any say it surely will :dies: I know idiots are gonna ruin their folds by being careless

How likely is to get a foldable iPhone next year?

I caved and bought the iPhone Pro Max.... gurl when I tell you I got the weirdest faces thrown at me, I did NAWT belong there to buy it :bibliahh:

but the Cosmic Orange iPhone Pro Max  1TB is mine

So I contacted my carrier about the Spectrum Upgrade Anytime thing and the rep told me that my monthly bill is going to be the same as my current 16 Pro Max if I upgrade to the 17 Pro Max. So tempted. :rip:

I made the decision to buy the new Iphone 17. I haven't owned an Iphone since the 2000s :skull:

iOS26 and the glass effect looks really cool! It's giving me frutiger aero vibes and I love it!

So many bugs in this release, I like the visuals but I think it has so much to improve (I have the 15 Pro Max):

1. When answering calls while I have my AirPods Pro 2, the call uses the phone's mic and not the AirPods one so I have to manually change it, thought it was reception because my dad was like "I can't hear you, you sound far away" until I noticed it.

2. Sometimes when making a FaceTime call from the phone app it just doesn't work, I have to close it and then try again.

3. Auto Correction isn't working properly, most of the times it shows the correct word on the keyboard suggestions but doesn't change it in the actual text.

4. Music app sometimes feels slow and gets stuck while navigating through albums.
