Did you not understand what I said abt Hanja or are you just being intentionally obtuse? Lee minho 1 李敏鎬 Lee minho 2 李旻浩. Other than sharing the same last name and pronunciation, they are written completely differently and have different meanings. 

 

It makes ZERO sense to say they have the most copy pasted names in the world when there are a whole bunch of Caucasians naming children after themselves or their family members. Wtf do you think the Jr. in Robert Downey Jr. or the VIII in Henry VIII means???.

Like it's so common also in other Asian countries. Like in Western countries, you could call someone by their last name (Mr. Smith, Ms. Anderson...) but never in my life someone has ever called me by my last name cuz there're million others (probably in the same room) share the same last name lmao

it's true that in korea the large majority of the people have the name kim, lee or park as a last name

that is because in the late 19th century koreans were forced to get a last name

and they took names of clans that already had a 'status' so that people wouldn't know they were poor

so they mostly picked kim lee park etc.

Exactly!!! Because if you put any thought at all into the statement that HAHA koreans have the same full names!! You'd realise that **** makes no sense.

 

Different languages and countries have their own naming trends and conventions. They just manifest differently. More east asians share last names (wbk!), whereas more Caucasians share first names. So I find it very off putting that you're laughing about the number of famous Kims and Lees when there's just about as many Michaels and Michelles running around.

 

Oh but you mean FULL names right? So I showed you how the examples you gave did NOT have the same names. How are 李敏鎬 and 李旻浩 identical????????? Go on!!! LITERALLY the only identical names that have been brought up here are the Western ones by Ryan.
