I don't think MJ's estate would allow that to be on a solo Mariah album. It would have to be some sort of duet album or anniversary thing for his albums.

I've said it before, but I'm cool on new music from her. It's just not going to be good unless she completely switches gears and creates something a bit alternative-r&b or electronic without a need for strong vocals.

We still have so much vault content to look forward to (from her or to be leaked online)

She said it was a cover on Andy Cohen. She did background vocals etc.

I don't think the Prince track ever eventuated.

I think HFIA was just uninspired. Caution didn't have that much belting/high vocals really and its still one of her best.

Her popping up mainly during Christmas, barely lip-syncing convincingly and then barely moving, isn't really going to sell an album. The music just doesn't connect. She worked with Ariana and Muni Long, and those didn't really do much for her either sadly in terms of charting.

I'm not sure where she's gonna go musically now. Maybe some gospel albums

She needs to dust of that musical knowledge of hers and hit us with a killer sample.

That's what I mean. Caution explored some alt r&b and stayed in a lower register and look how much better it was. She could fully pull off a Ravyn Lenae type album with subdued vocals

Her voice has declined a lot since 2018, though

I have decided to begin my Mariah deep dive as of last night to familiarise myself with her!

I always go chronologically when I do discographies so I listened to the debut album last night.

The second half of the album felt much more realised, artistic production wise and captivating.

Are there pages on any platform (Reddit/individual ones) apart from wiki where I can read on her discography, interesting trivia on songs, find hidden gems, etc? I will also need recommendations on what to listen from EPs, remixes etc that are not included on official albums?

I think this is my fave production on the debut along with Alone in Love and Prisoner.

glitching. Kworb sometimes does not update individual songs and then when they update, it's multiple days combined.

AIW is curretly doing 80k - 85k. It's close to re-entering her daily top 10. Give it 10 days and it will be there.
