Song choices are NOT 10/10

 Cheek To Cheek is closer to that. I'm sorry but me disliking Harlequin doesn't have to do with jazz after meditating about it. I like Cheek To Cheek and that is entirely jazz. Harlequin on the other hand... I can only save Close To God and Godly Mistake

 

If we're talking about unreleased gems.. who else remembers? Deserved a spot on TF

but cheek to cheek has the better tracklist and her best vocals

i hated this snippet when it came around but I overplayed it and now I kinda like (except the beginning)

I did not just see Garden of Eden slander earlier  The chorus of that snippet is the catchiest thing she's recorded since BTW, no wonder a 10 seconds mp3 file is stuck in many of our heads.

Harlequin is a great album and deserves to be appreciated. Yes CTC has better vocals and the song choice are great too but HQ is an entirely Gaga album in the sense that it's her band her arrangements / production. Not to mention the sneak self written and arranged FAD, one of her best tracks of the decade.

THIS IS SO GOOODDDD it would be one of the best in the album

Having some red wine & spinning Harlequin vinyl on this Sunday evening. It's absolutely excellent, I feel bad for the Liddos that don't get it. GÁR is such an AUTEUR. There is no one else in the game that could execute her vocal deliveries, nvm an entire album full of covers & standards from the POV of a movie character who's a mentally abusive stalker. The production value & live instrumentation are INSANE. Her voice has never sounded better on a record. She literally composed a WALTZ (!) on her own, that happens to be IMMACULATE. 
 

This is Gaga at her best. Raw talent, capable of emulating a seemingly endless scope of music genres. No one else does it like her.
