Honestly if that performance was at a SB HTS type event, the song would be challenging DWAS tonight for the top spot on the streaming charts. 

i also have to say that she understands simplicity way better than when she tried it for the first time with joanne. let's compare die with a smile mv to milion reasons. or rather let's not

Yeah just going to add some context to the Joaquin situation because it is very much a big deal in the industry:
 

• Joaquin Phoenix was set to lead Todd Haynes' next film, a nc17 gay romance with a lot of nudity set in the 1920s
  • Phoenix spent YEARS working on developing the script with Haynes and was the oen who came up with the idea
  • The film was supposed to begin shooting 5 days before he backed out so no replacement was able to become available
  • Sets were already built, they were on location in Mexico. Cast and crew were put out of work completely for this
  • He wasted an extremely acclaimed director's time and put tons of people out of work
• Outlets have reported this behavior is consistent with Joaquin specifically
  • He allegedly attempted to back out of the first Joker film 
  • He was going to back out of Napoleon unless rewrites were done and specifically requested Paul Thomas Anderson to do them (extremely acclaimed filmmaker). 
• He may be uninsurable now because of backing out of this project and other people backing out as well
• He's tainted his connections and reputation within the industry. 

His behavior has very clearly affected the reputation of the film to a degree, especially because people inside Hollywood do talk to each other. Not to say that the reception would have been like, extremely positive, but I feel like that situation and an attempt to want to bring the first Joker movie down a peg affected the critical reception specifically.

Thinking of Boomkack is making me intrigued to see if she actually has given Ratchy the boot after all.  

Apparently Joaquin did that (last minute pull out stunt) to M Night Shymalan with Split and thank GodGa  because James Mcavoy was perfect in that role. 

Too bad he didn't drop out of Joker 2 and let it become a movie on Lee

I believe James McAvoy confirmed this was true, he was cast like two weeks before shooting started.

No one could have played that part better than James McAvoy so it was all for the best.

It's going up now, yesterday it was around #140-#150.

At least the movie will keep her in the spotlight for the lead, she snatched $12M for a cameo () and her acting is being praised. Could've been much worse.

Also, Close To You is still trending on insta at #5 in sounds and the official audio has 493 videos on tiktok. Let's see if anything changes tomorrow!

 

DWAS is now Z100 NY's top 5 songs, but still without power rotation, maybe they will add it this week, let's see.

It's also #6 on KIIS LA, but Tate McRae is #5 already despite it's a much less successful and newer song The ageism jumped out.

Also I love the choice she made singing with gasp as if she just did a dance break when she barely moved before that. It gave the performance some rock feels and makes the performance more powerful and raw.

just watched the movie and I'm gagging

not vocador but clearly there was a pitch correcting mic or something like that. It sounds like a more advanced version of what she used during her AMAs 2010 performance of Speechless / Bad romance. BUT it wouldnt sound this good if she didn't also slay vocally regardless

she's been doing this even in her interviews lately! idk what it is but like she can be sitting and starts to breeth rapidly and heavily like she is out of breath. idk if she does it for effect or something but it's interesting tbh

I loved this scene in HOG when the financial police came in  

 

 

 

I saw JFAD today and obviously Gaga is brilliant on her role. I was gagged by her acting, she keeps getting better and better

 

Acting wise for me: Joker > Gucci > ASIB

Films in general: ASIB > Gucci >>>> Joker

 

People can drag Joker anytime but if anyone comes for her personally then they're dumb and just biased haters bc she's one of the few saving moments of the film
