Mark Romanek is notorious for having directed NIN's Closer MV (among many other famous mv's). I think the same logic can apply to this case, though: she did that as a thank you to the fans for being respectful and waiting for her, etc. She was even explicit about it (on her story). I want you to be right and I think we've waited far too long at this point but yeah I don't think this is strong enough proof at all unfortunately.
