Was Shallow sent to the radio the first week it was released? Originally they planned on making I’ll Never Love Again the hit single from the movie, but then Shallow over performed and the rest is history

No. Basically there was a I'll Never Love Again (Radio Edit) version so obviously they planned to make it a single since it was also the biggest moment in the movie, but Shallow just took all of the attention   They sent it to radio in late October, once it reached #5 following the movie's release.

Nope. It was released on Sep  27 but sent to HAC on Oct 15 and Top 40 on Oct 16.

Either way, having a great voice is not the same as being a good songwriting and Gaga is equally if not better known than Bey for having a big belty voice, while also being a varied and interesting songwriter who spans multiple genres/subgenres from dance-pop to folk-pop.

 

Taylor literally uses the same 3 chords for all her song it's not even a competition.

 

They're all differently talented and have very different focuses for their career. Being a songwriter who fully knows their craft is not even a concern for the GP and while I understand the desire for Gaga to put out an album that is very much steeped in musical know-how, etc., she doesn't really need to to suceed. She's already a great hook writer and has been from the beginning of her career and she can play the piano better than any of her contemporaries can play any instrument (except maybe Ed with a guitar), she has nothing to prove tbh.

There's definitely a reason her discography is mostly panned 

 

Like Celine's voice is amazing but going that route for a full album would honestly be a boring waste of Gar's talent.

its getting 1m updates because its a new release.

there will be days with +0.500 or so 

25m airplay is safer bet.
