HMH may also be smart. It's essentially swerving radios ageism by having undeniable AC singles to pay attention to - avoiding what most ageing popstars have to deal with (increasingly niche euro dance bops for gay fanbases, that mainstream ignores for being too camp/off-trend).

:clap3:

trying to explain this to this fanbase who will not accept that 2010 is not happening again, is virtually impossible :toofunny3:

Much as I find it entertaining, I think it’s time to put some members on ignore for the sake for my mental health

This is all well and good but means nothing to a fan of her music

I will admit she has done magnificent in her '' all-rounder '' route in terms of gaining INDUSTRY acclaim. My issue is that she is becoming a jack of all trades, master of none. In her attempt to be as diverse as possible, she is spreading herself extremely thin and not focusing on one field or craft in particular, causing her output to be... somewhat stifled and middling. One might say she is an expert on music, but I think she still has a long road ahead in terms of truly being recognized as an expert in the musical field beyond vocal prowess. And she will not find that expertise if she doesn't focus, at least I don't believe that.

I also have a major issue in her transformative chameleon-like approach to her career that is fueled by her '' all-rounder '' entertainer role, in which she puts on a costume and sometimes even a persona depending on what she is promoting. This has me annoyed solely because I don't know who the heck this woman is anymore. It becomes harder to pin her down, and instead of being an enigma to the public and her fans and causing intrigue, she comes off as disingenuous and inauthentic. It'd be easier to support her career in the many fields she tries to excel in outside of pop music would she actually have some consistency.

I relate and enjoy her the most when she is releasing pop/electronic music. That is when she feels the most authentic to me. Her dabbling in other fields and genres have not brought me closer to her, rather pushed me away, even if I enjoy some of her output.

I need her to really up her visual game next era. Work with more professionals, have high budget videos with concepts like TFM, at least 3 singles with no long breaks between them and live performances

Is there any chance Miss Ga Ga works with Tove Lo for her new album? That’d be an undeniable bop :jonny5:

We need to campaign for a Tove Lo collab (or even better, many songs) just like how Charli x 911 happened :jonny5:

I think the Spotify charts are UTC-based, so the MV had a 7 hour effect on the streams.

This... And the way she abandoned the Chromatica Era... It makes me think she did not put much effort in it like she did for Joanne. The way she was promoting Million reasons anywhere and everywhere... Joanne was truly a labor of love. Chromatica on the other hand was manufactured by her producers, that's why she just dropped it and moved on. The least they could have done is add 911 to TTH or release replay as a single. But no. Discarded like a tampon. If promoted well Chromatica could've won Pop album grammy...?

But your right Doja is the IT girl :heart2:

Her solo single and album are sitting pretty in the top ten of billboard

Good for Doja! Yeah she's doing great in the top ten of billboard, I hope one day she joins Gaga on the all-time Billboard chart :sistrens: Some artists who've been around for 20+ years have failed to do that... she's on the right track baby she was born this way!
