I mean, across the board GGD stans (and some on here ) are really f*cking toxic, and I say this as a day one GGD member - that's why I stopped hanging out on there last year. Around the end of Born This Way's cycle they started joking more about her, and now it's devolved into this weird one-up contest of who can make the next hit meme/observation. The nose jokes, dragging her career moves outside of music, laughing at her earnest quotes that they looove to take out of context... it gets to the point where you start wondering why they even like her when you compare their negativity to other fanbases like Swifties and the Beyhive.

 

Monsters complain when she refuses to interact with them, oblivious to the fact that they've shown her time and time again that they see her as this pop culture puppet that should be doing exactly what they dictate at all times. She then responds to that energy with songs like Plastic Doll and Fun Tonight, but the lyrical content goes right over their heads  they're stanning a global ICON but they're the first to drag her almost every time.

Is there a genuine reason to hate the pharmaceutical industry aside prices/price gouging? That's all I can think of, along with the opioid crisis that hit the US.

 

The idea of supporting science and tech that regenerates skin or manages fibro doesn't really seem all that bad. I always thought the Nurtec outrage was around the pricing too, but is there a particular reason some people have a gag reflex to pharma or medicinal science?

 

Like, I'm annoyed that she's prioritizing this over music but I'm also not willing to paint her as some kind of a shill beyond harmless ATRL jokes.

Also the fact that it was a private event that none of us would ever be invited to, let alone hired to work at as catering staff 

 

We were never meant to see or hear any of this, but these fans are acting like she went on CNN announcing she's becoming a fulltime pharmaceutical lobbyist who worships capitalism.
