This so much. It’s also the fact that it all seems so corporate and lifeless now. Sure, Gaga has always used capitalism to her advantage since day 1 but it comes across as so fake now and doesn’t have any of the personality you’d typically associate with her image 

Again, I don't think anyone would care about that quote if she had been putting out music and showing passion for that part of her career. But the last 4 years of her career have essentially just been Gucci, ads, and Haus Labs. There has been the growing tension within the fanbase that she has put her business ventures over her music, and last night she basically said the quiet part out loud  

 

I think it's okay to acknowledge that she was speaking to a specific audience last night and tailoring her messaging to them. BUT it's also okay to be annoyed that that messaging was basically implying she sees identifies more with the business side of things now, which has been sort of a growing concern. Just see the backlash from Nurtec-gate and the subsequent shelving of the CBT film after she promised it was coming soon. But I honestly do not feel it is a huge deal

I truly don't understand the meltdowns over what she said, it shouldn't even be explained the reasons and what she meant, it is so obvious giving the context.

 

People are truly treating her like the President of the Unitest States and measuring what she says word for word, when it's not even that deep.

Anyway, is anyone else excited for the Joker soundtrack?  Is the rumor that she re-recorded original jazz songs true?
