UMG muting Gaga on TikTok when Heavy Metal Lover and Monster are getting healthy 200k streams for being deep album cuts. I hate it here.

I have a friend who works at the Tiktok headquarters in LA. She told me that the real reason why Gaga's catalogue was removed is that many users were leaving the platform (since 2020) because Stupid Love was available to be used.

i heard a rumor in the katy perry base that the lg7 lead single had its own #bonappetitchallenge ready to go but the UMG/TikTok drama postponed it. not sure if true.

It's not Halsey herself that would be the issue, it's the fact that Halsey has Columbia backing her, which is the same label that gave major steaming + radio pushes to Break My Soul, Flowers, and As It Was. And she's rumored to have worked with the songwriters/producers behind the latter two songs. I think Columbia's going to push her hard. And they have the competitive advantage of still having their songs on TikTok because Columbia/Sony isn't UMG.

Aren't they both under UMG? Obviously, I don't think Gaga would postpone for Halsey (gaga is more powerful)
