Either it's scrapped and they don't have the balls to say it, or there's stuff going on behind the scenes. I was talking to a friend who put things into perspective for me. Basically it comes down to Gaga continuing to be an old-fashioned popstar who does things the old-fashioned way. Bey, Taylor, and now Madonna seem to be filming/seem to have filmed every show so the planned special could/can be edited in real time, while Gaga did what popstars used to do and chose a specific show to film and then edit afterwards. Gaga is to blame, but this is also one of the times having a big, business-focused team would behoove her. Taylor, Bey, and M have teams who all focus on the business aspect of their careers while Gaga and her team are still focused on the "artistic" aspect. It works for Gaga personally and for her career, but it sucks for us.

If the implication here is that Chroma ball didn't serve great visuals, you are objectively, factually lying. There are numerous things to critique the Ga about, but this is not one of them. Her energy during Chrome ball was unmatched, the polish was unmatched, the visuals were unmatched. By all accounts, it was a great a show.

on a lighter note i think the chromatica sine mask used in the vma was under-appreciated genius - it tied well with the chromatica theme and also state of covid. it is reminiscent of when the haus used to add fun little props like the ipod glasses/disco stick to performances, which i missed

So I learned a few things today:

 

1. Gaga doing The Sphere would cause a lot of traction to her name. It's kinda clever considering all of the clips on social media just like with U2. It's good for her brand. 

 

2. Taylor opened to only $30 million from 100 territories which is bad because A) the tickets were TWICE as much as regular movie tickets meaning adjusted she did like $15 million which is local af, so Swfities mocking Gaga for whatever really just got a humble pie.

I doubt arianators have interest in doing that, a lot seem disappeared these days or jumped into other pop girls, it's gonna be the usual haters hiding behind her like they usually do with whoever can be put against Gaga in these pointless comparisons, assuming 'Wicked' will perform somehow better than JFAD.

I don't know how to explain this feeling but being a Lady Gaga stan in 2023 is acknowledging that Gaga is better than most popstars in range and depth of talent, but also acknowledging that most popstars are stomping her when it comes to being a proper popstar.

 

It's also acknowledging that she cares about her general career having signed up for Joker 2, but also acknowledging that she's seemingly intentionally torching her career on purpose. It's truly confusing.

 

 

I don't know if she intends on being a proper popstar moving forward but I'd rather she announced her retirement if she genuinely lost interest because at least that would end expectations and we could all move on peacefully. If she does intend on continuing as a proper popstar, I hope she finds herself in the company of people that can actually support her. One of the greatest popstars of our time should not have worse management than a suburban 7-Eleven.

 

I wonder if Bobby Campbell is the right manager for her anymore. He handled her post-ARTPOP rebrand masterfully, but the way he's handled her hiatus has been questionable. If Lady Gaga and Co. plan to continue making money off of this audience, I hope they acknowledge how woefully they've treated that audience this year.

The next music era and how it will be handled will definitely clear this up for good, but for how things went in the last years, it's safe to think that her priorities are different and others than being a 'proper' popstar.

 

I think Bobby is not the issue here, when it comes to her music career is more the label that have decisions to make and stuff to handle promo wise like playlisting or collaborations-droplets proposal, for the rest majority depends from her in first when it comes to releasing music and stuff, that is why it seems obvious to me that her priorities are different since years at this point.

Beyoncé took a 6 year break between Lemonade and Renaissance. 
Gaga is going to be fine 

 

JFAD is coming to be a massive moment for her career. The wait just sucks so much. Might take a break from stanning until the trailer comes out
