The shoe always fits that certain artist and her stans I think if Adele got the special editions and variants thing on her next album then she could do big numbers again. It's funny because if that certain artist with those stans did NOT do special editions and variants and only released one version her album would do 30 numbers potentially

I mean did you just see how they're starting to deflect? These are literal facts that 1989TV is #1 in less places than Lady Gaga's Chromatica album and they want to make it about who stans what instead of providing an actual counter-argument to what tf is happening to her supposed peak if she's not even able to out chart what many consider Gaga's flop album WW. And on top of that, Taylor has ZERO #1 singles in most countries outside of the US and here they are claiming she's the new MJ

I agree about most of what you wrote but the last part about Janet Jackson. Janet is extremely impactful and even though she wasn't bigger than her peers (Madonna, Whitney, Mariah, Celine) in most countries outside of the US doesn't change that she was and is an absolute icon. That said, the only reason these "Swift is not as big here and there" statements are made (and you seem to agree) is that the Swifties are claiming she's rivaling the Beatles and bigger than Madonna or the new MJ and all that which is what causes these counter-arguments. If the Swifties just took it down a notch and admitted "yes, she's super massive, could outsell Madonna in the US but she's not as big in Europe, Asia and Latin America so she's obviously not the new MJ on a global scale" then those remarks and posts and threads that counter-argument this wouldn't be made.

At this point seeing that they make a thread about Taylor's OWN LABEL proclaiming she somehow sold 3.5 million units around the world with no official stats to back it up and they just celebrate makes me think that if her label proclaimed her to have gone #1 on another planet in another galaxy they'd wholeheartedly start believing that

Now the Swifties can whine and cry about it all they want but it's facts with evidence and STATS from official charts to back up all the claims that Taylor isn't on Ed Sheeran's level of hits outside of Anglosphere and she's not even on par with Adele in terms of album sales and HITS in the same territories. All they care about is that she's massive in the US and Australia Like, do they do their proper research? Sidenote: Ed Sheeran is also right behind Michael Jackson in Germany in overall sales and Taylor is N/A on the all-time list there as well And Lady Gaga and Rihanna are on the all-time list too but who cares about Germany, Turkey, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Mexico, Nigeria, Brazil, Greece and Japan when she's massive in the US

Kinda but she gives more PICK ME vibes. I used to have this girl in high school who would talk to anyone considered cool and would hang around with so many people and just latch herself onto people because all she cared about was if people liked her and what who thought about her. That’s Taylor in a nutshell. She doesn’t WANT success or validation, she NEEDS it. She NEEDS the charts, she NEEDS the relationships, she NEEDS the demand. Also, the amount of public feuds she’s had also gives a hint at her personality. And she sued her own fans once. All in all, I feel she’s more insecure than most of her peers.

I don’t know why you’re making this a stan war but one of those faves had one of the biggest popularity peaks of all time and is also both an Oscar winner and a Oscar nominated Actress while the other is literally Michael Jackson and, frankly, both artists’ accomplishments are conversations Taylor will likely never be part of either. How old are you? It wasn’t deemed financially viable because he was making enough money on one version and had 10 million people in the US buy one copy each and not like Taylor’s three million people buying multiple copies each. Also, 20 million sold of one album by Eminem vs. not even crossing 10 million of an album by Swift. We know who the bigger artist is.

To be honest at least Monsters talking how Gaga was the next Madonna had some valid points because Gaga was charting number one singles and albums on the year-end charts and was making headlines and had smash hit-after-hit-after-hit on radio in every single country all at the same time unlike Swifties and their idol who has subpar sales outside of like five-six markets WW.

Eminem sold well over 11 milion units from mostly one album with one version and you think Taylor who released three albums in a calender year with countless special editions mixed with streaming from private listening sessions at home is somehow more impressive? Anyways, Eminem’s two albums have actually impressive stats in most countries (which is why that album alone sold about 20 million copies WW) unlike Swift’s albums which aren’t even touching that threshold individually despite having inflated units from streams. Most Taylor achievements aren’t the brag you thought they would be.
