Shallow charted for almost a full year. Like why would she abandon her biggest hit in decades to rush release a dance pop album? You all keep pushing the narrative that she wasted ASIB’s hype, but in reality she used the hype to milk Shallow as long as she could 

 

Yes, if ASIB had no hit song, she should have released LG6 sooner. But ASIB had her biggest song since Bad Romance on it. Honestly, she could of delayed Chromatica even further and sent ARUTW to the radio instead

Yep. That’s how it works. A new single would have killed any momentum Shallow had. That’s how singles work. When a new single is released and rises, the old single falls. Especially if it was for a whole new project

Any momentum Shallow had where? It’s not like radio was playing it. Other MPGs can release singles one after the other and not have this problem.

Gaga’s priority seems to become a Hollywood legend/icon. Sometimes it’ll alogn with pop music like ASIB: award bait ballads that are good for curators/programmers, sometimes it will be a big film but with uncommercial genre like jazz. Chromatica did feel in a way like it wasn’t a step forward for music, more to keep fans happy and on-board for her new goal.

So it seems! Regardless, it's definitely exciting because it's such a big and unexpected creative swing, complete 180 from the original.

This is like the 4th-5th time I've heard that the script is (or is at least implied to be) quite strong. And I think that one of the people that said this also pointed out that Gaga was going by Lee on set months before it was confirmed. I'll try to find the source; I think it was from late 2022  But I genuinely feel like this is going to be such an interesting project. Being in a drought sucks, but provided they don't push the movie back, I think this time next year will be one of the most exciting points in her career ever.

I know in a lot of tv shows/movies the cigarettes they smoke aren't real. As unlikely as it is, it may be a possibility?
