Jazz has always been part of her as artist, always loved this rendition of 'Someone to watch over me'.

Indeed. She might be in her actress & jazz singer era now, but Jazz is something that's clearly been part of her from the very beginning. Her Ella/Sarah cosplay might be overshadowing the "CrazyGa" from the early years but she's still the same girl that collaborated with Tony Bennett during the Born This Way era with her teal hair :skull:

She seems SO in her element at the Jazz & Piano shows and I know this is an unpopular opinion here, but I would legit eat up a solo Jazz record if it's well done. I kind of hope that she'll consider it in the future since she made it clear that she's not quitting Jazz music after Tony's death. I would also LOVE it if she incorporates some Jazz theory on one of her pop studio albums. I'm not a Jazz expert by any means and she was one of the reasons I even started listening to this genre, but it's much more than covers of 100 year old songs. I really believe that she has it in her to pull this off and drop a magnum opus because it's something that she's truly passionate about.

Edited by State of Grace.

I could take a jazz album if it's gonna be in the vein of 'traditional pop' jazz like most of Tony's disco, and not 'let's play random notes for 16 minutes' jazz because that's annoying af

A Jazz-influenced  LP would be another milestone for her. At this point, it's fitting and long-awaited. It could be her Back to Basics era.

It doesn't have to be purely Jazz either, She can even do Funk which is another genre that she's familiar with.

i see ya'll come to the conclusion she is over pop and she is more like a hollywood starlet and jazz performer and getting used to it. i was here 2 years ago :alexz3:

I still can't believe her team didn't send Bloody Mary to TTH.

There's simply no excuse.

britpink-britpinkbitch.gif

we dont know that tbh

many other old tiktok hits weren't on TTH... They had to be remixed to get on

Not being a hater but tth doesn't make something a hit if it doesn't want to be, the true push for mary would've been the sped up version. That is the one doing like 1m off fanmade youtube everyday. The original version performed a bit like demi's CFTS (big peak, then fall to 400k daily)

She looks incredible. Apparently she's at Brian's After Dark show now.

CariNO is really down BAD :deadbanana4: Did he even remove that (ugly) tattoo of her kskskskdkd

they are not hard at all on Britney

(Or RIhanna, because of her streams - that's all ATRL cares about. Someone like dua is their absolute wet dream a sexy young woman having dance-pop stability for months - takes them back to their early 20s in 2009)

Spoiler

For example that thread about bigger than Taylor

dont they say that britney is the biggest pop princess of all time with huge impact and peak?

so why is her career now a book and twirling in a one piece on instagram? But they constantly compare Gaga to billie, taylor, olivia totally missing the irony :rip:

ATRL is harder on Ga Ga cause she's easy to drag as well :dies: she served inconsistency post-2013 trying to diversify from pop music and never had that similar peak again and she kinda pigeon holed herself with the Ga Ga name cuz she, in a way, always has to do something unexpected. ATRL expects success.

It's not Gags account that he liked tho :deadbanana4:

I'd love a jazz album from Gags like something in the vein of Back to Basics or Back to Black. She can call it Back to Gaga and merge her high fashion personality with timeless pop-jazz pieces.

I totally agree, at this point a solo original jazz album, also in the vein of basically what Amy Winehouse did or Xtina's 'Back to Basics', a modern direction with R&B-Soul-Pop infusions seems a mandatory stop that has to happens in her career, it has to.

I've been hoping for this direction since years, not to mention Mark Ronson produced both records, she has to.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas

the only issue would it be not being 1950's jazz it needs to be contemporary- i could see Gaga getting quite wrapped up with he rband and just doing another c2c/lfs but not pop. LIke we need a 'Valerie' and 'rehab'

just another day is top 3 on Joanne quality wise :alexz3:

with jazz being timeless in nature even if it was more pop it would have a shot at aging well

Notice with Xtinct and amys it was 'back' in the title... how would it work for Gagita
