i think the only thing the track is missing are some killer background vocals?

especially in the final chorus

Obviously the users that are making the most of it are the ones with the ARTPOP related nicknames and that claim that era's sound.

it’s definitely different, the instruments are more live/raw in the second verse onwards

The only magic she made is 2.45 to 3.02 and then 3.32 to the end. Whatever magic and production happened there, should have carried the whole song.

The lyrics are quite generalized and not very memorable. 

 

I listened to the song 10 times and it's still not completely clear what the song is about even. It's just love song cliché after cliché.

The song is good y’all need to stop being so negative

I like Bloodpop's work. I think Chromatica is one of her best albums. He should not touch ballads, though. The production is so weird and hard to digest. I'm sure someone like Mark would have worked with her to output a better song.
