The intro is supposed to sound like a broken radio signal from someone asking for help. In the context of the movie, someone really important to the plot suffers an accident on their plane and is about die but apparently the signal is just too weak for people to hear them, and it goes along the lyrics for the song, which, in a way, has a similar message to The Cure. It was probably Gaga’s idea to connect it even more with the movie and within the context. 

 

This kinda makes sense tbh.

On ASIB alone there are 4 songs easily better than this, let alone her entire discography

If I was shuffling a playlist and heard that intro (not knowing it's a Gaga song), I would have ran to skip the song. I would have assumed it's PC music of some sort.

Lacks Gaga factor. She’s giving everything she can vocally and drums are hitting hard (which I love) but issa average song. Could be Japanese ASIB bonus track.

Now some liddos gonna pretend this is some kind of masterpiece when we have some true masterpieces here and there among her albums like speechless, brown eyes, you and i etc.

 

The fact half of the times i ended up not enjoying a new Gaga song cause you rat slugs always complaining 

It's ok to not like a song but don't ruin it for the others. The song is far from being bad or generic. 

It's not a Stupid Love song. 

You don't deserve Gaga and stop ruin our excitement for a brand new Gaga song

For me it's a grower and it's great. One of her best ballads. 

 

The production could be better tho but it's not bad at all. I want to see what Hans did to the song for the movie.
