Both Gaga and Rihanna probably had talks with their producers when agreeing to take part of their films. There had to be talk about their songs being part of the awards discussion and the expectation to participate. Especially for Top Gun who won BOS way back when.

Is there a record for most Oscar night musical performances? If she does HMH, that’ll be four performances. That’s a whole lot, and I’m sure before her career is over she’ll have at least 2-3 more.

The only person I would think would be on par would be Barbra. Not sure what that stat is. 

 I feel like HMH will work perfectly live at the Oscars.

Final voting happens March 2 to March 7. I personally do not care about HMH's performance, but I hope they end up releasing the Chromatour film as part of the Oscar campaigning. I really just want the actual tour film. 

It seemed Celine performed every year during the 90s. She even performed for a song that she didn’t sing as a last minute replacement.

She should perform hold my hand live from an aircraft carrier in the South China Sea

Ok but like fr, sometimes we need to sit back and just think, what she's done so far and continues doing is INSANE.

 

The way she's made THE Oscars her playground in such a short time, effortlessly scoring noms except HoG for both singing AND acting, and getting big highlight moments year after year, is truly astonishing. And she's only in her 30s. She is going to do so many more amazing things throughout her career I just KNOW it  

 

As Scarlett Johansson said on the Oscars stage introducing her first performance in 2015, "the one and only, LG".

Gaga winning a 2nd oscar and not showing up... That would be unheard of. Okay her grandma died, but the Oscars are in March, there's plenty of time to mourn. So she's away cause she's acting? Then more reason to show up and stay in the Academy's good graces so she can eventually win an acting Oscar for Joker. I understand you guys care about her as a person, and that's fine, but she needs to show up, it's the best move for her career.

Hopefully she performs the orchestra version we got to hear at the Cannes premiere.

I come from the future and she's the most decorated female in Oscars history — 3x Actress, 2x Supporting Actress, 2x Score, 5x Original Song, 1x Picture and 1x Director winner. Fun fact: she also came dangerously close to winning Sound and Original Screenplay 2x each. Maybe third time's a charm

Black Panther was really unlikely to hit BP with TG and Avatar both filling in for "the blockbuster spots," both making more money and being more praised overall.

Ehh, it takes more professional actors years and years of hard work to even get a nom or a win (cough cough Glenn Close and Amy Adams) so I don't think it will be that easy for Gar either. Maybe in Supporting.
