I actually think an Adele-esque album full of ballads would be the smartest move for success with the GP. It’s clear they prefer her softer songs where she can show the versatility and vulnerability in her voice 

Jack always works according to the vision of the artist hes collabing with. NFR, Lover, Melodrama, Masseduction and Solar Power were nothing alike.

 

He's a bit of a pretentious indiehead (which explains his comment about her music back in 2014), combine that with Gaga's extraness/pretentiousness and it's a terrible mix. Like as much as I would love to see it, I think him and Gaga don't compliment each other at all.

 

I'd rather she works with other (fresh & young pls) names for her rock album.

Nobody, nobody is here for this. At Chromatica ball acoustic part people knew Shallow and Edge of Glory, on the other songs they were snoozing and off to the bathroom. 

 

I know you hate to see it but Pop is still what they want & remember for her. Just look at Hold My Hand's stats.

Not when her back catalog is absolutely smashing and Hold My Panned objectively flopped (even if it did "ok" for an OST track).

I think it is time to accept that regular Gaga albums do not smash on their own. Regardless of if it is dance pop or ballads. Chromatica did decently, but it is in the same category as Joanne and ARTPOP, not in the same league as TF, TFM, BTW and ASIB

Tbf, as much as I love/like Chromatica, Joanne, etc. I can understand why they didn't smash. People don't listen to Gaga for dime-a-dozen hits, she's an intriguing persona who's done genre-redefining stuff. The GP loves how "ahead of her time" she was. But her last few albums just haven't been as boundary-pushing or "artistic" as say Born This Way.
