October 23, 2025Oct 23 comment_28435859 Just thinking how every major artists is releasing a new album yearly nowadays and Gaga took 5 years to come back with a pop album and while it tested my patients at times it's pretty impressive that she was able to disappear for that long and then come back to pop music unscathed. I'm not sure many have pulled off that long of a gap maybe Beyoncé and Adele. It's impressive especially how fickle audiences are these days. Obviously Gaga was doing other things but that just speaks to her star power that she was able to stay in the zeitgeist for that long with jazz albums and acting gigs. also I'll say I don't think I would want Gaga to release yearly bcz it's clear with these yearly releases that the quality of music is dropping. I'm still listening to MAYHEM every day. I've gone back to it so many times when an album has aged quickly or let me down.
