Just finding out about this- she was in her Elton John-piano singer-songwriter glam-pop BAG during this time I think she learned from Joanne being kinda half-baked/compromised, and just fully committed to that sound for ASIB. Also there was less pressure since it wasn't a traditional "Lady Gaga' album cycle and she didn't feel the weight of expectations of living up to her past work.

Stanning Ga during ASIB was literally once-in-a-lifetime sh*t....kinda bittersweet cause (for me) nothing will ever come close

I stanned around 2015-2018 but always rooting for her, love to see this

Xtina gets no respect around here, but her 1999-2007 run is lowkey unsurpassed in her peer group. Like no one was doing it like her on "Stripped" and this record in the early 2000s !!!! If poptimism was a thing back then, her legacy would be in a lot better shape
