We also thought LG6 would be dad rock inspired with Shallow like ballads but she gave us an unexpected turn and gave us Chromatica. If anything some fans were expecting RedOne'd demos while the rest knew it was gonna be stripped down a bit. Perfect Illusion made me think for a second she was gonna give us more of that, but then Gaga herself confirmed that the song doesnt represent the album sonically. And for LG6 we knew from the beginning it was gonna be a dance record afaik, no? I specifically remember us making lists of the rumoured producers and all signs were leading up to it being her back-to-the-dancefloor album. I agree with the last point though. This feels like the first time ever we have zero clue on what she's going to do next. We need to accept that there's always gonna be meltdowns with Gaga's releases. People will complain whether its dance again (me included), rock, country, HAC ballads, jazz, etc....This whole thing makes me very excited ngl.
