I'm on a boring Teams conference and my manager asked me what was wrong because of the face I made reading this. 

Stupid Love ended up being my third most streamed song in 2020 right behind ROM and Fun Tonight. I still enjoy it to this date  It‘s also better than PIss tbh

Stupid Love leaking is not the reason the song flopped. The GP is not here for dance pop Gaga. Stupid Love is a very GP friendly song, if Dua Lipa would of released it on Future Nostalgia it would have been a hit. 

I don't disagree that Stupid Love wasn't completely killed by the leak, but the argument that the GP just doesn't want pop music from Nose will never make any sense to me. If there was once complaint across the board it was that Chromatica was too safe and bland. I remember going through straight/GP Reddit threads and Twitter comments and every one was filled with stuff like "I was excited she was getting weird again but the album was boring". Even all the viral tweets focused it all being generic/underwhelming (ie. Stupid Love coming to terrorize retail workers ). And it's not like her catalog ballads are having a moment on streaming, it's all her weird pop hits that are. Gaga kinda set herself up with how experimental and provocative her early stuff was because now people have very specific standards for her and simple pure pop won't cut it.

If Stupid Love didn’t leak and they did website bundles for it rather than chromatica on release week, it definitely would’ve gotten at least #2, mayyyyybe #1…

Sometimes people  just don’t want to believe it, we see meltdowns everyday from grown men for just pointing out one of their fave dance songs flopped, this forum thrives on it   Gaga’s mainly successful dance hits on streaming are all from her debut, ROM had insane playlisting and was being outstreamed by many other 2020 hits. I can see why ‘GP not here for danceGa’ sticks.

Tbh Gaga is 15 years in now, it would be hard for any woman to put a latex hot pink bikini and dance around to Ibiza beats and then get the GP going. I mean Katy djd a DJ collab and it bombed so hard It’s just kinda how it works

I got my twitter suspended a year ago and then I discovered that I have a twitter from 2011 (I only started using twitter in like 2019) and the amount of tweets about MTN radio requests and stuff that I found  

 

I have 0 memory of ever having that twitter, but I guess I was such a big liddo that I had to create one to help MTN chart  

I’m kind of done with atrl. I keep getting some bothersome things from some forum moderators for expressing my opinions.
