PI came after universal lashings and a reputation in the gutter. SL came after a massively successful Oscar winning campaign and a whole new fanbase.

Ummm. I would’ve rather it went #1. That would’ve meant the Chromatica era had two #1 songs. That’s huge lol. Some of you guys make no sense. 

Imagine her #1 hits being these: Shallow, Poker Face, Born This Way,Just Dance,ROM and Stupid Love 

Stupid love doesn't deserve a place among these other legendary songs. 

 

But her having 2 back to back #1 singles with Stupid Love and ROM would have been iconic

You guys really complain about every single thing. SL would’ve been fine as a #1, and would’ve done better on radio if it did. 

I remember when perfect illusion was released we were watching a livestream that was counting down the top 10 of the week, we were all expecting something in the top 5, as they kept counting down we got more excited thinking it might be number 3, then when it wasn't 3 we got even more excited because it was going to be a number 2 hit, then when number 2 was something else we were screaming because she was going to be number 1, then the number 1 was something else and we realized it didn't even debut top 10

 I am actually of the opinion that Gaga can get another #1 and it actually feel like a #1! taylor and nicki got 2020 ''#1s'' that didn't make the YEC and fell out before 15 weeks  

 

What i will say is, SL was #1 on the UK midweeks on the first update. I do think had it not leaked, she'd have discounted it, and the chart had been really really weak like it was in 2021 she'd have snagged it - and it's going to go platinum in the UK and it made the YEC, UK supported the Chromatica era and its singles cause of the house sound whereas other countries did not

I’m not s***ing on PI or SL - PI has grown on me with time and SL’s prechorus is one of the best parts of Gaga’s discography - but I can’t imagine how anyone could think they were good leads. Especially when both Joanne and Chromatica could have been huge comebacks for Gaga. 

A-YO can be pretty fun idk why some people fully hate it. It’s fun to sing along to. The words in the verses roll off the tongue.

Stupid Love leaking is not the reason the song flopped. The GP is not here for dance pop Gaga. Stupid Love is a very GP friendly song, if Dua Lipa would of released it on Future Nostalgia it would have been a hit. 
I’m sure that Gaga will have her Believe moment one day, but not any time soon. At this point, she should continue to play with different genres and continue starring in movies (both serious and musical).

Gaga is an established act with a fan base who all listened to the song a month prior to its release. I can’t believe this is a “fan” and not an OGH making this false equivalency here.

break my heart by dua was on the internet for months too; leaks dont effet songs like in digital era. Harrys album leaked in full and i doubt they will change much

 

 i only think the leak would've effected its initial peak. I think SL is a noisy song with Gaga screaming, its radio frinedly but a streaming poision. I dont think if dua released it would have been a smash tho, it'd have at least made the YEC and got to 400m streams in 2 years lol 

I dont think the leak hurt SL that much but it kinda took away that initial hype and some streams from ha. I played the leak a lot for literally a MONTH and I'm sure many of her fans did as well. The song was all over the internet and I remember even radio stations playing it like Then when the it got announced some girlies were still convincing themselves that it was gonna be different so everyone was like *ohhhhh okay.gif* when the song dropped and sounded identical to the leak that we've been listening to for 6 weeks kiii
