I do too and I hate boring promo movie tours where people repeat always the same stale things, I'd rather hear an over the top story but interesting than the usual predictable boring stuff in this kind of promo.

this musical thing is blown so much out of proportion   it will probably have a couple of performances here and there on a stage or something.

 

but there is no way this is going to be a proper musical with the narrative interwoven into the songs like on Broadway

Her band/a few dancers have posted about starting rehearsals the first of this month. I think they started their contract June 1.

Musicals can be deep and meaningful, Chicago, Les miserables, that bob dylan movie just name a few. It’s just Hollywood don’t make stuff like these anymore. Though I doubt we will get lots of musical scenes in FAD, probably would end up like Judy or Eyes of Tammy Faye.

ASIB is not a musical tho, it's a drama in first with music elements-scenes, remember also the Golden Globes category, they didn't put it in musicals.

 

FAD will be the same, some music-musical scenes that make sense for the kind of story and characters but the movie will remains a drama in first.

 

A Star Is Born isn't really a musical in the traditional sense, more like a romantic drama featuring songs.

 

I don't think the movie will even be a jukebox musical  People are reading WAY too much into it imo. It won't be like La La Land/Chicago/Les Misérables/Moulin Rouge etc. The musical aspect will most likely be a shared delusion between Joker and Harley and maybe showing Harley's decaying mental state.

this obviously won't be your typical musical. I can totally see them doing it when Gaga's character is on drugs or having a mental breakdown

Our ASIB is not a musical. It's a drama about singers with original songs. but yes, La La Land is an all timer.

FAD will likely be an experimental musical and not traditional in the broadway sense at all.
