I'd love to know more about how the self-titled era played out since I was way too young to follow it in real time. It's crazy to me that it got ONE single out of 17 tracks and then HWR immediately gave up. 

 

It's also wild to think that Most Wanted would've never happened if self-titled smashed. She probably would've dropped a third studio album in 2005 instead.

I don't think an album would have happened in 2005 

 

Hilary stated she didn't have time to record a full album which is why we got most wanted 

 

she was busy filming movies touring working on her clothing line 

 

I remember watching an interview where she complained about how burned out she was getting that probably explains her weight lost 

 

she also stated the songs she recorded for most wanted were just for fun and she didn't plan on making another album 

 

I think if streaming existed back then

It had one single because it did not as good as her debut (not counting the ScL album). Theyve planned to release The Getaway in Jan 25 but then the sales dropped too much so they just gave up.

 

She had not much free time so i doubt she would have release a 3rd full studio album in 2005

I know we all crave for nee music but damn the new tv show sounds interesting! Hilary needs some drama show on her catalog!

It's hard out there being a little Duff but hopefully she can balance both music and acting. For Gaga, Joker and MAYHEM were released only 5 months apart.

For now I will bop to her underrated self-titled. Fly, Someone's Watching Over Me, The Getaway, Underneath This Smile, Hide Away, Dangerous to Know, I Am, and Shine!!!! The vocals in Shine!!! Godly!

I knew she was working on something else other than new music and that new show sounds so good.

Hope it's a drama indeed. Some articles are saying it's a comedy…

I'm happy to hear Hilary is steering away from comedy and is ready to grow her range as a dramatic actress. Hopefully the series will see greater success than HIMYF did. 

Nobody needs to stress about the album as it's definitely coming. I don't think we're going to see a repeat of 2014 because Hilary put a pause on BIBO to shoot the series, whereas this time she will complete the new album before Pretty Ugly goes into production. 

The writer of the novel was a producer on family guy, and he's also producing the show so it's not going to be a drama.

 

In fact, the novel is actually labeled "humor" i'm about to start reading it to check it out

I couldn't agree more.

 

Hopefully they will cast other famous names to play the other characters from the book (specially the grandmother).

No but i guess that they did it because

A) Ppl requested mostly this song as they thought that Best Of will never come out on vinyl and wanted to come as close as possible to "completing" her discography

B) they can boost the best of sales in their stores because the products are related and can complete each other 

 

I would love to get Any Other Day because there's no option well ever get it on vinyl

It did not chart on hot because they messed up the release. They put it on iTunes but shortly after removed it (in America, not sure about other countries) so it wouldve need an extremely big radio support to chart. 
 

at least it topped dance chart and was her 3rd consecutive #1
