I honestly feel so lucky to have this little space where I can share my love for Hil with others that admire her as much as I do and it's just so awesome that some of us have known each other since th

I bought the Disney one and it was completely black. I'm in the same boat as you. I'm confused because I see some people getting the swirl from UO and almost black ones from them.

Yeah I figured they were gonna be the same, I got the UO one, didn't come yet but everyone was saying it was black but the photos are swirl. Weird that the photos don't match the actual vinyl but thanks for confirming about the Disney one, now I don't have to buy two

She's not that crazy lol! Maybe the red is related to the cherry emoji.

The discoballs/mirrorballs do not suit the rock vibe but well seee

Haha I spoke too soon! Stokeddd!!!

I need her to enjoy her own Padam Padam. An organic, cute dance bop that charts rather well. But for what its worth, I think she's planning this more meticulously and more quietly. Guess she's taking lessons learned from her 2014-2015 comeback era.

I wonder if the docu series will be on Disney plus / Hulu

im glad Hilary is back with a label I knew going independent would be too much work for her

I just really hope she doesn't fumble the bag cause I remember her 2014 comeback had hype like this one is having and we saw how that went

at least Matthew will brings things to Hilary attention now

Was your Disney one swirled and your UO one black?

The Disney one hasn't arrived yet.

What a high of a day it's been. I was shocked to see Hilary signing with another major label, hopefully Atlantic will not fail her this go around as she appears driven to have success with this comeback. Now that there's a lot of hype after all the news today, I hope a single is imminent. Her new logo is cute and the pink on her website has me anticipating something very poppy!

Me too!!! The hype must be used for something. But between RCA's announcement and Chasing the Sun were like 3 months or so.

Not attending VMA on Sunday feels like a missed opportunity more than ever.

Im so happy i could cry yall

I have mixed feelings about atlantic. They're notorious for how they handle their artists. Charli was very vocal about how much she hated her first contract. Now ava max is vocal about it too. That last album rollout was a disaster.

that docuseries though… i'm so excited!!! i guess that's what she was shooting

Exciting - but isnt Atlantic a bad record label?

Probably it's not the best out there, but let's be realistic: it's already a big deal for her to have signed with a major.

She took a break of 10 years from music and almost retired from it; the only hopes we've got during those years was that Matt (and Banks) forced her to go back to the studio (and it's basically what happened to me, like Matt was ready before she was).

She's an icon, among Millenials everybody loves her, but we are in the streaming era and her last album came out before it basically. If you look at her streaming numbers it's basically a miracle that she's signed with a major and I'm really curious to see how they plan to gain new fans, new generations and introduce her music catalogue (the old hits) into the streaming era.
It's all so interesting and exciting this time around, let's hope they won't kill the hype and put out a buzz or a proper single soon and not in 2026 and that Pretty Ugly doesn't kill the promo (we also saw this with BIBO-Younger).

That being said, when do you think new music will come out at this point?

Edited by ReachOut

Theyll probably release something around the same time as taylor because everyone will be on streaming platforms that week and will be more likely to check out other pop artists after listening to her album

That's definitely great news! But honestly, I'm not really into the new name logo — it looks kind of cheap and dated, like something from an indie record label or even royalty-free music you'd hear in a supermarket. Maybe it's an artistic choice, but I feel like what she really needs right now is a more upbeat song. Dignity 2.0 is exactly what I've been hoping for, but that vibe feels too far from her personal character these days. I think we'll probably get something more like BIBO — pure pop, but not super heavy on production.

She has never stopped being a celebrity in Latin America; it's incredible that after so many years, her return is still a main topic on television shows.

i wish! tho it is highly unlikely she isnt lol. do you guys think she'll EVER return to music?

omg. 2022 fabu sloth you'd be happy to know that she is returning.

By the way, I've been listening to a lot of her old jams this week, and it really reminded me how much her sound has changed over the years.

During her debut era (Santa Claus Lane, Metamorphosis), the production leaned heavily on backup singers to make her vocals sound fuller — sometimes even overpowering her, like on So Yesterday. (Fun fact: as a kid, I was heartbroken when I realized the reason I thought I Heard Santa on the Radio was the best track was because most of the harder notes weren't even sung by her. Lol.)

Her self-titled album felt too rock and heavy for me back then, so I didn't love it at first. But over time I've grown to appreciate it more — the production makes her voice feel more raw, permanent, and genuine. There's less reliance on stacked vocals and backup singers, which gives it a very real, almost vulnerable feel. That said, a lot of the songs were just too challenging for her range, and overall the album wasn't what people expected from Hilary.

Most Wanted — I really liked Wake Up. It's not a talent-heavy song, but it does the job. (Though I remember being a bit annoyed that both of the new songs had "my heart" in the chorus — felt kinda lazy at the time.)
PS: Just found out Supergirl isn't even on Spotify!

Dignity — THIS is the masterpiece. The production was top-tier, the visuals were on point, and those viral performances? I ate them up with no crumbs back in the day. Honestly, the quality of this album was way beyond what anyone expected from her — even me as a fan. And the best part? With strong production, Hilary's limited vocal range actually sounded amazing without relying on heavy backing vocals.

Best Of — The new songs leaned toward a Dignity-style vibe, so I didn't have much to complain about. I liked Holiday, though I think it could've been an even bigger bop without the extra chorus vocals in the final version. (I also kind of hated that this "album" only gave us two new songs… but the Japan photoshoot was SO good, I spent all my savings on it back then and have no regrets.)

BIBOMy Kind is my favorite. Overall, it's a good album, though I wouldn't have minded cutting Confetti and Picture This for stronger tracks. The production is very minimal, which really puts her vocals front and center — both the good and the not-so-good. Sometimes her pitch goes higher than I'd like, and I can't help but feel some songs might have worked better with a wider-range singer. Still, it's very her. But that's why I prefer Dignity more — the production on that album is just so good and matches her voice perfectly.

Sometimes i think about how big would be The Getaway (with Hilary driving in the MV)/ Someone's Watching Over Me if those songs were oficial singles. A career defining songs

This is the most excited i been in years about a Music release from a pop girl
Hilary is one of my 10 most played artists all time and basically one of my first pop artists ever and i thought BIBO would be her final album
Without her music i wouldnt be here cause she was one of those helping me to learn english with her debut record and the lizzie movie soundtrack :jonny6:

But im honestly scared cause i feel like fans and the stans want a return so bad and then they dip. :giraffe: sometimes i would love better for her to go independent
People are hyped and then they just run away everytime an old pop girl comes with a new album. People are so fickle. Too much talk but no action

What do we think the genre may be? I'm predicting retro pop with a hint of country; I feel like they want her to have her own Short n Sweet judging by the font and everything.

Pop + Dance Pop.

She used the discoballs so maybe also some 80-90's disco vibes

These are gorgeous! I really love the self-titled and Dignity ones :clap3:

I see people complaining about Atlantic

but let's be real it's probably the best she can do

Hilary last album was 10 years ago and didnt make much of a impact

Although millennials know Hilary as a pop star she particularly unknown to gen z

let's just be happy someone was willing to take a chance on her again

this might also only be a one album deal we don't know how many albums she signed on for

mostly likely one
