The ATRL logo will probably get switched out soon since it's been almost two weeks since it's been up. Was extremely happy I got the chance to make an ATRL logo for my favorite Britney album

Hello everyone,    Just to let you know that Poker Face surpassed Toxic on Spotity.

It's not discussed enough how iconic and influential Everytime is

what is britney trolling us now on IG with
"coming soon"?

The Swifties have been insufferable as ****, but I wrote this out because one of them had no idea that Taylor was a massive Britney stan @The Music Industry

Let me break it down slowly for you since you clearly need the help:

1. Taylor indirectly got her start thanks to Britney Spears. The reason Taylor Swift was at Britney's performing arts camp and got to meet Britney is because her manager was Dan Dymtrow. Taylor was at Britney's camp performing and giving out demo CDs and working a deal with Reindeer Entertainment. Dan Dymtrow had the connections he had because he was Larry Rudolph's protégé. Larry Rudolph is famously Britney's manager and the only time he wasn't truly was when Britney left him in 2005…for Dan Dymtrow. That's also the year Dan leveraged his career to get Taylor Swift signed with Big Machine Records. Taylor's dad and Scott Borchetta then famously carved Dan Dymtrow out of the deal with Big Machine records (despite Taylor's wishes) and that was Taylor's first lawsuit.

2. Taylor assumed the same team as Britney Spears. Taylor started out in Faith Hill's and Dolly Parton's footsteps and when she took a turn to pop, she used Britney's signature producer, Max Martin, and Britney's signature director, Joseph Kahn. This is not an accidental combo for a known Britney fan - especially someone who used to perform at Britney's camp or cover Britney's Max Martin songs like Lucky and BOMT.

3. Taylor has referenced Britney numerous times. The WANEGBT bridge being a spoken Max Martin bridge (hi, OIDIA). IKYWT having elements of dubstep (thank you, Freakshow/HIAM). Bad Blood's video being references to Britney's Joseph-Kahn-directed Womanizer and Toxic videos (Selena dresses up as Britney in the Womanizer office look in the beginning and Taylor wears Britney's iconic Alias-inspired look from Toxic). The "Wildest Dreams" video having the same concept as Lucky, Taylor's favorite Britney song. Reputation being heavily influenced by Blackout (and the concept for the LWYMMD video being Britney's scrapped GM concept, complete with Taylor recreating Britney's GQ magazine cover look).

Obviously Britney isn't Taylor's only influence, but to say that Britney wasn't her main inspiration when she transitioned to becoming a full fledged popstar is delusional as hell.

Apparently some girls here had no idea how Taylor got her start :skull:

I mean Taylor is this generations Britney Spears and learned from past mistakes.

That said, congrats to John Chu or whatever for the critics choice award for best director.

He will go higher with Britney's biopic.

It doesn't seem like it.

I know I'm damn late to the party but it just hit me today that Britney might be retired fr fr.

The biopic will def be very telling about where our journey is as an army but I'm not sure that project will come to fruition cause let's be honest, Britney is a complicated collaborator to work with despite the director being good and successful giving us some sort of reassurance; and her story is also hella complicated to tell.

The most depressing part is that the only thing we'll be able to look forward to might be a Myah and will.i.am vault. :biblio:

I don't really get why so many Army members continue to believe that Britney is not retired for real. I sure wish she would record and release music, even if it doesn't come with any videos, any performances, any promotion, nothing but she made it really clear several times that she hates the music industry. She said that she does not want to have a team anymore and being told what to do. She denied every single rumors about working on a new album. She talks about her music career as something that has ended a moment ago and confirmed that she is retired.

Is there hope to get a song or two if someone she really loves asks her to collab ? Why not, she did it for Elton John but eventhough she sometimes contradicts herself, she lost her passion and is disgusted by the industry, I don't imagine her releasing an album in a near future. Maybe in 10 years she will feel more at peace and would try something ? But it's better to accept that being a popstar and making music is not for her anymore unfortunately, which is understandable.

It is understandable. But it's not only about our joy when we wish she would come back, it's also about hers and how therapeutic it would be to reclaim what once was beautiful and incredible to her... But ofc this is borderline parasocial and this is a woman with her own priorities and wishes, so I guess it's time to let go, at least for me. We'll have to deal with more Paul Solis headlines and god knows what else. :gaycat6:

I hope she's happy and healthy...

God I hate this guy, I want Charli Ebersol back :bird:

The only thing that bothers me with Britney is that she neveeeer films herself talking. Her IG is basically just a bunch of random pictures and quotes and herself doing a few dancing moves.

Ok she's retired but what is preventing her from filming herself from time to time just to discuss some normal things : her day, her relation with music, fans, any event or news, rumors, singing a song she likes… it's like we almost haven't heard her voice since the conservatorship ended. I'm exaggerating a bit but I genuinely don't understand why.

God I'd also love to hear her talk about literally anything she wants. That 20 minute audio she posted in 2022 gave me life!! :jonnycat: She was still with Sam though, and a lot has changed since I'm sure... It would be nice just so her core audience could keep up with her somehow and also a way to dispel whatever misinformation the press is spreading as they usually do.

Yes, I made peace with this by knowing Britney herself is finally doing what she wants though.

Retiring is her decision and if she's happy with it, than I am too as a fan. But who knows, she's always changing her mind. Maybe one day she'll return for a quick song or performance u never know :gaycat4:

I wish Piece Of Me and Circus got some more love

I'll be real, minus a few tracks here and there I can't say I like Britney's content since 2006 so if she makes another album it will be like Nelly Furtado's 7 for me. Cool to have you back, but even if I'm disappointed it's okay because you're always A-List to me :heart2:

Need to finish my comments for the rate!

if Glory couldnt grab an audience, I dont think a new album will unfortunately. Plus she was looking her best in 2016, probably on par with early 2000s.

Circus is doing 422k a day, that's great and it keeps rising !

POM aged a lot in my opinion so I understand why it's kinda low

I don't think her instagram is a peek into her genuine thoughts, it's just a space for her to unabashedly be goofy

Her instagram was a cesspool of the meanest comments for the longest time, I don't think she sees instagram as deserving of anything more than her word vomit. Like she's literally just shitposting on there imo

She uploaded some candid stuff on her YouTube some months after the conservatorship, which I feel like was something for the true fans. It felt like a cute hidden part of the internet. If Britney could, I'm sure she'd like some way to talk to fans, but the current internet landscape just doesn't allow for it.

Yes, POM is dated, but then so is BOMT and OIDIA for example, they couldnt exist today but they're still doing amazing

BOMT sounds as fresh as in 1998 in my opinion. Oops kinda sounds of its time because of the production, but in a good way.

Circus producer Claude Kelly says the music for Britney Spears' biopic needs to be top-notch, and a new hit record could go as far as Circus did: "There aren't many artists supported by all kinds of people—Black, white, across the spectrum. We love Britney. This could be the biggest biopic of all time. When these movies happen, there's always a new record that sets it off. I think people will be excited to hear brand-new Britney music, and I'd definitely want to be part of that."

From his mouth to Godney's ears.

I do hope they incorporate the following songs (highlight in bold for character development):

BOMT - Sometimes -You drive me - Oops - VMAs 2000 - Lucky -Stronger

Slave - VMAs 2001 - Not a girl -Overprotected -The kiss

Toxic - Everytime -Outrageous accident

My prerogative - Someday

VMAs 2007 - Gimme more - Piece of me - Break the ice

Womanizer - Circus - IUSA - Radar

HIAM - TTWE - Criminal

Scream and Shout

Work btch

THE Original Make me

Then I hope she creates a ballad that is played in bits like the Titanic and then at the end the full song plays at the ending credits.

I think B10 is not going to end up as a studio album but a soundtrack album for the biopic. I think some of the songs will not be hers, too.
