But this idea of an "original album" vs. "Crossroads soundtrack" is not confirmed. IIRC Larry Rudolph explained back in the day how this movie would work as an innovative marketing tool to further her music and career, so obviously it'd go hand in hand with the album. And I think Schwartz also said they weren't different concepts. Sorry to break it to y'all but neither Britney, JT or any songwriter/producer has a say on this kinda stuff. The music is owned by the record labels.

Extremely weird vibe in this thread. Nothing bad about "gay" so I don't know why there's people here all riled up and competitive. Kylie is the gayest hands down. She's the kind of artist whose legacy holds today thanks to their gay audience, like Cher. Madonna is the biggest female artist of all time so that automatically annuls the idea of her being a gay-only/mainly act. Her impact and importance in the community is another talk. Gaga's "gayness" is more on her branding than the music itself but who really is separating the two? Britney's music is for girls. It's just that, like most things for girls, gays connect with it.

This says a lot about her artistry wise…
