It's like impossible to miss the sample of I Feel Love, it's quite evident and the song is too iconic not to catch it.

However the song is straight up excellence,  start to finish so it's hella worth it.

It cost you nothing to use SPOILERS TAGS

I have a question for those who have heard the album

How are the samples used throughout the album? Is there any song that is heavily based off its sample? This is especially for Donna Summer "I Feel Love" b/c thats one of her most well known songs

From what I've heard, it's more standard. For example, the Right Said Fred sample is just her borrowing the cadence, without outright saying "I'm too sexy", just borrows the flow. There's a lot of samples on Church Girl, it's pretty heavy lyrically has different samples along with the clark sisters. I'm surprised she didn't credit Nelly cause she has a Tip Drill sample (Must be ass cause it ain't your face).

Listened to a few snippets and it’s actually not as dancy/house as I expected!

it's not housy but still very dancy tho

Summer Renaissance is... OMG.

The vibe of the album caught me off-guard the same way BMS did when I first listened, but once you get it into it... this is excellent.

Is there any more 90s house on the album? Also 80s synthpop?

It's like mostly all dance, but several songs mix several types of dance.  There is a pretty hyperpop song though, it's wild.  I will say BMS is probably the most house track on the album.  It's definitely different than I anticipated

I swear it doesn't even fit on the album,

:lmao: [/spoiler ]

Spoiler

It flows well through the tracklist though, and it was perfect as the first single considering also the meaning of the song. We needed to hear that message from her.

I think Cuff It could have been ideally a great choice as well. It might work as a second sigle indeed imo.

The samples are all amazing.  Some are more apparent, like Donna Summer's I Feel Love but it's used SOOOO well, and Kilo's America's got a problem.  I can't seem to pinpoint the Kelis sample.  I swear Thique samples Meghan Trainors Me Too

Pure/Honey is ******* brilliant.  The sample is amazing, too.

Bey REALLY served for the gays.

I think Heated is single material, too.  That outro is everything

It depends. Some tracks are mostly built off the sample like I'm That Girl while there's a lighter approach in a few others (specifically America Has A Problem).

Just like how RTW and Formation didn't represent the full scope of their respective albums.

Not y'all killing your own Friday hype by listening to the leaks :biblio:

You came in a thread that you never frequent just to derail it with your opinions that no one asked for. Just wait for the album thread to be reopened instead of being an inconsiderate ***** who can’t use a simple spoiler tag (FYI, it’s the icon that looks like an eye ?)
