I don't think positioning how she operates as "unwillingness" when she puts so much into said music and performances. The amount of messaging that's communicated through her collaborations, her samples, her creative imaging, the things she references, the things she wears and the overall packaging says everything that would be said in an interview with Zane Lowe, you just have to engage with it in order to understand.

 

Unfortunately some of you stan an artist that is very intentional about who and what she is as an artist and you keep asking her to be something she's not... there's literally nothing wrong with going out and finding an artists who will engage with audience the way you guys want them to, Beyonce simply is a "different animal" now - as she's told us multiple times.

I was honestly shocked she did an interview after winning AOTY. Like yes it was short but she hadn't answered a direct question on camera in about 13 years at that point. So I think anything is possible. I feel like she'd go to Trevor Noah or a musician she trusts like Chris Martin, The Dream, or something. Gayle and Oprah... feel off for a few reasons.

I am divorcing my husband in 5 days and her music is really resonating with me right now. Me, Myself and I, Sorry, Don't Hurt Yourself, Irreplaceable, etc. She has so many AMAZING songs. I am in such AWE of her and her career.

also I knew I was pms-ing hardcore earlier this week when I was tearing up at the crowd singing Irreplaceable Live from the I Am... World Tour.  

I want to buy a shirt with her on it but I'm finding the options to be kind of lacking. this one is okay but I'm not sure.

She's made it very clear that she wants us to experience and create our own album experience and that's what she's doing. I think her participating in the "feminism" conversation during ST taught her that she doesn't have to tell us, she can just make the art and we'll get her. i remember people (white feminists) being ridiculous with her that era because she openly referred to herself as a feminist and told us that the album is about that. That's why after Lemons she just stopped explaining her intention with the art and just let's us make of it what we  want it to be.

They've known each other since DC days. There's a BTS of this clip where you can see Yvette subtly guide her toward him and nod at him.

 

He's also the man she (sort of) stopped to talk to after the Formation performance at the super bowl.
