- Blue Ivy merch has cool designs but I agree that it feels weird as an adult to be wearing that stuff

- The next era is 1,000,000% rock, the font is a dead giveaway

- Echoville teases in 2025? Visuals are still coming and thats good

- Love the art direction on this (albeit overpriced) merch, especially the echoville mesh shirt and the 400ft cowboy puzzle. I wish they would just sell posters. 

- Hive shocked about the christmas merch bundle cash grab are obviously new here, she's been doing this since 2014 like clockwork

the posters point is so trueeee. I miss when artists used to do the huge maxi posters, my brother used to think I was straight bc I had the pic of Gaga on the motherboard chair for years

Only Rosalía, Florence (or Beyoncé but gladly she'll never), would make me see a Zane Lowe interview. My God, he's obnoxious as hell.

 

But I really don't understand why she doesn't do just 1 interview like this per album. In her own terms, her own setting, choosing who she wants to interview her, etc. It's just perfect for her.

Exactly. She can decide who she wants to be interviewed by, she can decide that it's not going to be about anything BUT the music itself, she can decide where she wants to do the interview.. Just like Rosalia. Yet she gives 0. Its deeply frustrating as a fan of hers tbh

I'm pretty sure she stated that when she releases an album she's done with it. The world can perceive it however they want to. (I forgot when or where she said this but it was in the 2020s).
 

The fans and journalists do a good job at picking a part the themes and deeper meaning behind each song so it doesn't seem necessary for her to explain it on camera while she's talking in a monotone ass voice.
 

I don't think she likes to explain herself or her art. Which is why she was the only artist to go AWOL during the Oscars campaign for Be Alive.

Because she doesn't want to. 

 

She's made it very clear that she wants us to experience and create our own album experience and that's what she's doing. I think her participating in the "feminism" conversation during ST taught her that she doesn't have to tell us, she can just make the art and we'll get her. i remember people (white feminists) being ridiculous with her that era because she openly referred to herself as a feminist and told us that the album is about that. That's why after Lemons she just stopped explaining her intention with the art and just let's us make of it what we  want it to be.

Thats one way to frame her unwilligness to do anything but record her music and go on tour.

I wouldn't want to sit down with Zane Lowe for an hour either.  I thought he was a smug jerk before this happened, but I rode an elevator once with him and he talked on his phone loudly (rude as hell).  His entire conversation was so self-important and he was an ass to whoever he was talking to.

 

I don't see any reason she couldn't self-produce something like the ST doc, though, and I wouldn't be surprised if we got a doc after act iii.

Im not saying Bey should do it with Zane, but she could very well ask any renowned black interviewer to do the interview that truly understands the subleties of her work and who is a music nerd.

Id totally appreciate hearing her dissect her own music and her intention with someone who is on her level when it comes to musical and cultural intellect.

I dont care about how Blue or the twins are doing, how her relationship with Jay works. I care about seeing her way of working, seeing her being proud of her work, gushing about the difficulties of getting to a point of recording certain songs, etc.. give me Beyonce the musician, the artist, the game-changer, the conoisseur, the musical genius and leave the celebrity at home

I understand that maybe she doesn't want to explain her art. It's clear and it's probably why she doesn't do it. You guys are right.

 

But it doesn't have to be something that deep then. Those Self Titled mini-doc she did was so fun and they're not that deep on the meaning of music besides "I don't want to chase perfection anymore". That was it! Just talk about the songs but not in a way of explaining anything. Just show that you are passionate about it and wants the fan to have fun and call it a day.

 

Hell, get Kiki Palmer to interview you. Just have a little fun in front of us for 10 min. Not because of relatability (I don't need to relate to you Bey), but it makes me want to consume your art even more. It makes us invested and happy to see her happy.

 

One person that I think would be PERFECT to do it with would be Maya Rudolph.

There is not a single interview of Beyoncé where she is not being dragged for the pattern of her speech. She can now gross a half of billion every other year on tour without lifting a finger and now we want her to do interviews with Zane Lowe (a known hater) like Rosalia and Florence??? They aren't HER  and half of you would be retired if the shoe was on your foot.  The other half would be in some sort of mental institution after "thank you Beyoncé"-gate
