Beyoncé

This is part 1 of the Beyoncé discussion.

I will never forget my Renaissance first listen experience, I literally couldn't believe what I was hearing. My expectations were already high but they were surpassed so much, the production of that album it's still something that will be studied for ages.

Even hearing it today it still hasn't aged one bit and I still find some little details here and there that leaves me baffled, it's truly a timeless album. And the fact that the arrangements they did for the songs for the tour left them being even BETTER like... I'm just sad that we haven't got a live album.

I feel like and hope that once Act 3 drops, Bey agrees to a sit down interview. **** any sub-stories, focus on the creation of the trilogy, walk us through ur mind, the details, the decision-making. With all the negativity, I think giving the world that for the final act would help emphasizing how incredible the trilogy overall is and wrap it up perfectly.

I still think we will get some kind of documentary or something, because she has made those who work on the project remain so hush hush, even as much as deleting parts of interviews from publications from some of the co-creators.  Some of the blackbird girls even saying they couldn't give too much info about the process..  Like that just seems strange imo

I still think, no cap and no shade, truly, that she has absolutely 0 say in the creative direction. That being said, she has an AMAZING team behind her music and styling and visuals and marketing and tours etc etc and I hope she continues in this direction, regardless of how much I disliked act II it was still a much needed type of album from her. I feel like act iii will be on par with act i. Maybe she can finally top IASF and ST

Are you okay?

If she has 0 say in the creative direction or in everything around her projects we would have seen the visuals by now come on! Parkwood exists for a reason

Jack White shared last week a picture of Doechii with the caption "This gal is pretty damn talented. -III"...I know it means nothing but I would love a collaboration with him and Doechii for act iii :duca: imagine the slayage

Oh you KNOW the Carters went STRAIGHT to Doechii after the Grammy Performance and said "hello mam, we need you on a track on Act 3".  I could see dollar signs in that cheeky smile of Jays at the end of Doechiis performance lol

I'd really like to understand this.  You think the woman who has been consistent for nearly thirty years despite multiple changes of team is being told what to do?

You only need listen to the Renaissance party voiceovers to understand how untrue what you said is.

edit: oh my god i just saw you said she hasn't topped iasf.  nevermind

Ignore him, he drinks

Someone needs to stand up to her and protest to release the visuals.

For good reason, that was a star-making performance. Sooner rather than later I definitely expect a Doechii collab, and I bet she had Bey's attention for a while now.

If Doechii can score a collaboration with Beyonce that can be huge for her career.

Because we know how IHHM turned out.

:rip: Then you know nothing about Beyoncé. How embarrassing for an alleged fan.

Hive sistrens, I need ur opinion (and please dont drag me):

Is this Beyonce shade or not?

Cause I feel it is a jab towards Bey (and quite frankly I think Chappell is the type of artist who doesnt **** with Bey), but I'm being dragged for voicing this interpretation.

She knows B is from Texas plus B wasn't trying to do that at all with CC so I don't think so

That was definitely shade. Why else would she phrase it like that and who else would she even be talking about?

Her attitude reminds me a lot of C******** A********'s in her early days

I don't think she was thinking of Bey here.

she's specifically talking in reference to people asking if she's making a country album and saying that she isn't, and the song isn't an attempt to get the country crowd to check her out. maybe she's shading someone... (like artists who make 1 single country song) — but I don't think it's Bey.

let's remember, sistrens:

Chappell was invited to and attended Beyoncé and Jay's Gold Party two weeks ago.

& Bey named Chappell as a talented and interested artist she's watching in her GQ interview last year.

there's no reason for her to have animosity towards Bey & Cowboy Carter. that usually comes from people Beyoncé doesn't even THINK about.

Im a new fan and even I can tell she's got the creative vision about where she wants to go with her projects.  The work showcases that she's HIGHLY involved in the quality of the output and is not some ditz puppet

Since we're seemingly talking nonsense here, I wanted to revisit the Cowboy Carter press release.

"Each song is its own version of a reimagined Western film"

That's it. No theorizing. Me just wanting the visuals NOW!

:jonnycat:

That Chappel comment is no shade because it's exactly the same explanation Bey gave. She was not trying to impress the CMA crowd, she was doing country because it's in her. If you think that's shade it's because you believe Beyoncé was trying to impress the country audience. :rip:

After not wanting to pronounce Kamala Harris' name properly, I could care less.

"The Giver" is now expected to miss the top 10 altogether and debut at #17. I hope her Trump-supporter family and the music of Jason Aldean can console her.

if Beyoncé was so passive in the creation process of her art, people wouldn't be working with her.

think about it — why would you "waste" your energy on a woman who's gonna do NO promo, not going to sell as much as the white pop girls, not release post-album singles or music videos, not gonna get massive radio airplay... it'd simply be a bad business decision.

not to mention if that were truly the case, any and all pop girls (i.e. someone uninvolved in songwriting, like R*hanna) would have a discography as strong as Beyoncé's. clearly they do not.
