I'm back home. I just KNEW she was pulling up in a horse I knew it, prerecorded or not. the way Ashley's unemployed ass showed up on the big screen was a JUMP scare, Post Malone being another. Her voice sounded so clear and pristine! I was not expecting Blackbird. I'm so happy because it's one of my faves on CC. I wanted to shed a tear when I saw her come in on the horse - so beautiful. And she did My House   My only complaint is that I would've cut Levi's and done more of Sweet Honey Buckin or more of Riverdance but that's just my own bias talking 

 

The fact that there's still so much for us to see live at some point - Tyrant, II Hands, American Requiem, Bodyguard  I'm so excited for tour

The audience was great actually, but they did scream the loudest for Post from what I've heard. Mind you the audience IS filled with straight men.  

 

Blue got a loud reaction as well and they were pretty loud for Texas Hold Em, not so much the other songs.

This performance kinda felt like the blend of her Super Bowl 2016, Homecoming and Be Alive performances 

I absolutely LOATHED that intro. WAYYY too sanitized and didn't work at all for me. Also the girlies were way too nervous + there was no chemistry between Bey and the girls. 

 

THANKFULLY, she immediately redeemed herself with Ya Ya, which was a showstopper.

By Bey standards, I thought it was solid, but it didn't move and gag me in the way other performances of hers have gagged me. The only moment I felt the gag I know I usually feel when she performs was during the YaYa intro and the Texas finale.

I'm sorry but announcing the date of the day that you're gonna announce the dates of your tour is stupid. let's be so serious right now. It's more than a tour. 

I've already watched it like 6 times. Heading to bed now, can't wait to watch it in UHD when I wake.

 

 

Would be sick if they make it a two part special, with episode one being the halftime and then a second episode with 40 mintues of BTS

The lack of pyrotechnics is really the only thing I was underwhelmed by in person, it seems she only used them to simulate gunshots. I mean in comparison to Gaga's in the same stadium, it was MUCH less. I also didn't catch the pyro in the camerawork, it was way above her during Ya Ya. She always does the unexpected for me, I was expecting an insane state of the art stage only for there to be literally NO stage. But she did use that ENTIRE field as her "stage", kinda never done before me thinks and I don't even count that carriage platform at the end a stage.

Personally not a fan of these low key entrances. I like big,  SB13 entrance was perfect. 
 

Renaissance deserved that halftime slot tonight, but anyways. It was good.

It's the visuals. Netflix changed its bio to "LOOK AT THAT HORSE" and the phrase is too on the nose to not be about visuals. 

I'm kinda hoping we are getting a first Act 3 single 14th Jan with tour announcement and album end of Feb

One of the best things about this performance was the way she moved across the field. Maybe not as exciting for those seeing it live but it looked great on the screen.

Why not release it tomorrow then?  I think we might get a trailer of whatever it is on January 1st, she probably didn't want to eclipse the performance.

 

Again, it doesn't make sense to announce the announcement of a tour. Unless it's different, like a residence.
