Does anyone know if Bey and Ashanti have had contact with each other? I feel like I never see them in pics or mention each other and I'd love to see them stand and look pretty together just once as the queens of 2000s r&b (Alicia Mariah and Mary can stay home)

yep this story is done....Tony Buzbee really banked on Jay Z paying to keep his name out of it. i'm glad Jay was fearless enough to take a stand & fight this. i hope he sends this lawyer completely out of business. He took advantage of a disabled woman.

 

this may ruffle some feathers but this is why i dont believe all ppl...i believe facts.  its sickening how ppl can blatantly lie & destroy ppls lives, families, and reputation like this for money and clout. this ruins it for real victims.

I feel two ways about this. The accuser's story sounds a mess and is barely believable. But the way Jay and his lawyers are aggressively trying to manage the media narrative, and compel the court to throw out the case as soon as possible is rubbing me the wrong way. I get that he wants to clear his name, but damn is his strategy intense

I'm sorry but the last bit doesn't make sense in the real-life context of this all. 

 

Are they meant to wait and move slowly...while the press milk it and sully his name?

 

If it's a lie, which is exactly what it's giving, they ought to nip it in the bud and quickly. It's vital they send a message to anyone else thinking to try it too.

 

The mere accusation has caused a sh*ts-storm as is. So, they are 100% right to move "aggressively" to fight back. 

 

Beyond defending one's personal reputation, Jay and Bey are not regular figures. There are deals (like the NFL) and pacts with entities like Live Nation (Roc is a joint venture) that are contingent on his good standing. 

 

This is not something they should take lightly.

The only drawback of them going all out at Buzbee, which I'm fairly certain will include lawsuits against him even when the case gets dismissed, is that it could actually work to Diddy's benefit. 

 

Findings and technicalities in civil litigation can be used in criminal cases and other civil cases. I can easily see Diddy's team pointing to the shakedown attempt that was Jay's case as some kind of defense for Diddy and his lengthy list of cases. Especially as his name was mentioned in the Jay case. 

 

In short, Buzbee seems to have messed with the wrong person and now it could torpedo truthful accusations in the Diddy litigation after effectively gifting the defense the "blackmail" clapback. A shame as Diddy is for sure guilty in some regards, but I guess it was serve as a cautionary warning to all to only pursue these things if true.

This site wasn't working at all during Spotify wrapped so I'm gonna mention this now. 
 

All the cowboy Carter tracks made it to my top 100 songs of the year playlist. The lowest charting was. Alligator Tears in the 90s. My #1 was Tyrant which was a bit of a surprise, but it makes sense because it's more replayable than the heavier songs or longer songs. Smoke Hour 1 by Willie Nelson even made it. I love that interlude whew. It made me go buy a harmonica. 
 

The only Renaissance era songs to chart this year were AHAP remix and My House. Maybe Virgos Groove wasn't the career highlight that I once believed it to be? AHAP is just timeless for me. I'll never not love it.

Not bad for an album by any measure in this day in age, but especially for one who's only hit was Texas Hold 'Em.

I didn't rewatch the full ST visual yesterday but did revisit her 2014 and 2016 performances. Both masterclasses even though I think 2014 still takes the win for me

I hate to say this but in a weird way, maybe these allegations happening (and  possibly being proved wrong) is what needed to happen. For decades there have been conspiracies about Jay and Bey, ramping up in the past few months with the "she knows" thing. But there were never any actual allegations. Now there are, and if it comes out that it's all a lie, maybe it will put an end to those conspiracies and make people question whether all the other crazy stories about them are untrue too - and remove them from the Diddy conversation altogether.

 

Then again maybe not and people will still be stupid enough to believe everything they read. 🤷‍♂️

If these allegations are false (and we still don't know whether they are or not), the public already have their minds made up. 

 

The only way this can effectively be moved on from is if it goes to court and Jay is found innocent not because there isn't enough evidence to convict him, but because there is tangible evidence to prove he couldn't have committed the crime (eg he wasn't at the venue, witnesses give him a bulletproof alibi, etc etc)

 

anything else will remain a stench on his legacy and thus a smear on Beyoncé's brand (if she stays with him) due to its conflict with her feminist persona.

The image damage is already done but it can definitely get a lot worse. I honestly would be more worried about others coming out of the woodwork with different allegations
